Hi everyone! I am making this forum because I see that it hasn't been done yet. feel free to post anything related to the nursing program process
I got accepted as ADN at RHC and is an alternate at MiraCosta (if I cant get in from alternate list im guaranteed a seat for Fall 2022). From today’s orientation I’m getting a bad vibe - The deans seems annoyed the whole time and is not paying attention to questions. I understand that some people ask obvious questions but it doesn’t excuse that. I’m gonna need to move regardless but RHC seems to offer better clinical? IDK. Any advice is appreciated!

I did get some weird vibe too but at one particular moment — I feel like she was annoyed because people kept telling her that their name weren’t being called, but they weren’t listening from the beginning when she said she’ll only be calling people who she couldn’t find. I’m still not sure if I wanna go to RHC yet either.

I got my LVN at El Monte Rosemead adult school,I think if let me choose again I’ll go directly to ADN in a private school,it’s pricy but save all the time spent on prerequisites,it looks like a lot of school cancels LVN-ADN program,it maybe a trend in the future.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, their program is "on hold." I have been noticing the LVN-ADN programs being put on hold, it is worrisome.

hey! I'm not sure if you saw my previous post on this thread, but I'm glad that you caught the bad vibe from rio. I'm a current student there and I'm not having a good time due to bullying and hostile classroom environments. BUT to answer your question, the clinicals at rio are amazing and I've learned so much from the clinical instructors. the full time faculty, not so much
Hi! I’m currently a second year ADN student at Rio and I just wanted to say hi and welcome to those who got accepted. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I know this process can be daunting and I am happy to help.
I’m currently working with a professor and some current students to coordinate another orientation-type event for you all in January. It’ll be put on by current students to help you prepare and hopefully set you up for success! We are looking forward to meeting you in person in January.
In the meantime, feel free to reach out at [email protected]
welcome and congrats!

For generic program it’s too weird to have 20 alternates paying everything to get physical, supplies and find it not selected later,I gave up my generic spot
