Hi everyone! I am making this forum because I see that it hasn't been done yet. feel free to post anything related to the nursing program process

What number are you calling? I'm trying to call too. But it goes to a machine to leave a message. I need to hear it or read it to be sure!

I was accepted! Thank you!

Hi guys,

Quick question for those of you who were selected for LVN-ADN Program if you don’t mind sharing your status’s as far as grades, TEAS etc. Unfortunately I didn’t get in. Just wanted to see what I need to do to improve my score.

hey guys! I'm in rio hondo's ADN program and don't worry about not making it into the program. I really would not recommend coming here b/c a lot of the instructors are more involved with the power trip against students vs being nurturing towards students. I'd say you guys dodged a bullet cause I don't think the bullying that we've experienced here is worth it. also a lot of my cohort members are second degree students who are 30+ years old so I think they're prioritizing applicants in this age group. but if you're set on going to rio, just put your head down and pass! you got this ?

Hi, I'm so glad you posted this! I'm in the mandatory advisement meeting as an alternate right now and their process of selecting alternates seems odd, they don't tell you what number you are on the alternate list or how many alternates there are. I definitely want to be in a nurturing nursing program and not one like you described, if I get into Golden West I'll definitely accept my spot there!

Thank you so much for letting us know what the program is like!

That's how many of the schools conduct their alternates.. for instance Pasadena city college handles it the same way

also for all lvn lvn-ADN students they said it was a random lottery selection for everyone wondering why they were not selected

The LVN program is by lottery.
LVN-ADN Bridge Program is by points. There was 85 applicants and only 10 picked.
