i graduated april 2007, took the board in the philippines in june (thank god i passed it!), arrived here in california in aug, submitted my application to the california board in sept and didn't get it until end of april this year...eversince i arrived here in aug, i spent every single day reviewing saunder's 3rd ed (the latest at that time), it took me around 2 months to finish the whole book. i finished the questions in the cd, and made sure that i understand the rationale. i'm doing the saunder's cd 2nd time around, naturally im getting really high score..i also did kaplan question trainer 1-5 and my scores are 65-73%...i'm also doing nclex 3500 (scoring 75%). i'm saving question trainer 6-7 and plan to do it 3 days before my exam which is on july 7! i know i reviewed a lot, yet i feel that i'm not yet ready to take the exam. i have 10 more days to go to brush up on areas im not comfortable with like pharma..i'm planning to move my exam date on july 22 (the earliest available schedule) so i can review more..though i'm scoring ok on my practice test, there are areas (like cv) where i only get below 50%, that's making me so worried..i'm so confused whether to move it or not..any advise? thanks!

I did qbank60-75%,test1-6 60%-63%,after 20days retest5-6 got 85%-94%,never did suanders more than 200qs and nclex 3500 more than 50qs, I have to test july 7th .total qs no more than 3000!

i am also doing nclex 3500, but no score at the end, is it cuz I don't have the program downloaded? and if so, how can I get the program downloaded?

btw, your scores seem good, I wouldn't move the test date with the scores your getting. You still have some time to review your pharm and weaknesses.

Best of luck to you with whatever you decide to do (keep the date or move it)....

I would keep your date. It sounds like you have prepared well and are doing fine on the tests. I only reviewed 2 weeks and as I'm sure I could always review more I feel that it is best to do it when things are fresh and not put it off. You know what you need to know and will be able to pick the best answer based on your nursing knowledge. You have studied more than most and seem to be doing well.

i don't think you need to download it..just do the "test" instead of "review" so you can see your score, and just to remind you, after you do the test, you have to review it right away or it might expire if you leave it for so long..i find the questions harder than saunder's, & they even have "alternate items only", good thing to practice for SATA..

thanks for the reply!

goodluck to you also!
