RETROGRESSION ISSUE

Hi everyone! I have recently applied through an agency in the Philippines as a nurse in Minot ND. My credentials has been assessed by the ICON Group and fortunately passed their initial interview and got a good feedback. Now I am just waiting for my interview last April 2015 by my employer 'TRINITY HEALTH'. however, I heard the bad news that the retrogression is current again due to cleaning up unused visa according to the Department of State officer.

Now I just wanna ask If has anyone of you know about Trinity Health?

Do you think this retrogression issue will takes longer time again?

I hope you can help me on this. Thank you very much.

Regards

Kriselle

Considering its retrogressed by approximately a decade, it's going to likely be a while.

Do you have a priority date yet for your EB3 i140 filing? In April it was near current. As of the upcoming visa bulletin the priority date is 01 Jan 2005. So those who have a priority date from 10.5 years ago are now eligible for visas. It was July 2007 for May I think...

I don't have a PD. I will be visiting NY this month, is it possible to apply for a job while I'm on tour and find an employer?

No!! If uscis catches wind of you seeking employment on a tourist visa your visa could be revoked and you can be barred from re-entry for up to 10 years. A tourist visa is for visiting only. Employers will not consider you without a work visa/rights. You don't have a PD so they would have to wait for over a decade at this point before you were eligible to work. Very few NY employers are sponsoring at this time as there are more (US educated with work rights) nurses than available jobs.

Ok thank you very much for your advice. At least I have the idea that it is not possible.

Yes it is possible to look for work whilst visiting the US however you can not sign anything and nope t remain in the US. I think with the long wait you will struggle to find a employer however not impossible just be aware that many nurses in NY are struggling to find work

People can look for work whilst on a tourist visa however they can not sign anything until in the US with a valid work/immigrant visa.

Thank you. I'd rather wait for my PD while waiting here in the UK. Since the agency told me that they believed that retrogression will not take that long.

Do you know any site for immigrant forum that suites my case where I can learn a lot from them?

Who knows how long it will take, the last time retrogression set in all countries was affected however this time it is the Philippines that became affected. It took over 8 years for the dates to move close or become current
