Retake A&P Classes

Published

Hello everyone! I've been reading all the threads relating to prerequisites at Broward College to enter the program. I've taken all my A&P classes and also english. I need to take micro and complete my humanities and math credits. Also I have to take the health core class. Basically my gpa for the the five classes to get in the program is a 2.1 because I struggled to juggle school and work right of high school but I should've been more focused, I blame myself sigh. Can you guys please give me your honest opinion. Should I continue with my courses, aim for an extremely high score on the Hesi and apply or should I retake anatomy classes? Also does anyone know if Broward College allows you retake that class?

I think you should retake the classes and raise your gpa, they told me if you dont have the minimum requirements you are automatically denied. You can retake any class you got a D or F in. I know you're feeling down but you can do it, you just have believe in yourself.

Hello, there. Your thread has been moved to the Pre-nursing Student forum with the goal of amassing responses from others who are in your exact situation.

Thank you, I know that is the best route to go and a confidence in my abilities does hep. So since I got a C, I cannot retake the class?

You need to comply with the requirements of Broward if that is where you intend to apply. Look online or better yet, meet with a nursing program advisor. If you are not allowed to repeat the courses, then repeat them anyway, and apply to other programs. Look at each program's requirements before you apply, so you don't waste time and money where you won't even be considered.

Some schools allow repeat of courses with a C, others (many) do not.

@willav, I really dont think you can cause I also attend broward college, I'm not sure if it is different for nursing program prereqs. Call them up and see just to be sure.
