i spoke with a healthcare recruiter today, and he requested that i e-mail him a copy of my resume. any suggestions as to what should be included for a resume for a reserve rn position? should i just use my most recent rn resume, or are there specific things that a recruiter would like to see?
he had mentioned forwarding my resume on to a major with whom i would be meeting for a preliminary interview, to see if i am a good fit for the unit and they for me. with that in mind, i want to be sure that i put my very best foot forward.
any and all suggestions are welcome. thanks for your time!

Hello Buckeye:
Yes, just submit your RN resume. Make sure it is updated with any certifications you have, all your job positions you have held as an RN....

When I submitted mine last year, I sent a very basic, bland one with few extraneous details that summarized education, experience & awards (nursing and military).

I was nervous about it so I actually purchased a nursing resume book that included examples of military and government resumes. Probably wasn't needed but it made me feel more confident since I was entering a whole new world. I was told by my recruiter to include ss#, in addition to the usual email, etc...
thanks, all!

I wouldn't put your social on there. The Pentagon is becoming more and more aware of how dangerous the practice is and is currently trying to find a way to extricate our service records from our socials. SSNs have become too tightly tied to the military identity we all have so it will take a while, but in the meantime, they don't need it, so I wouldn't give it. You don't know what sort of unscrupulous individual may come in contact with your resume.
