I received this email a few days ago from the Federal Health Dept. I queried this a few months back via email with them, and I can't believe I got a response! I thought you guys might like to read it too, and maybe make comments...

Um - I still can't see the attachment.
Thats because I realised it had my name on it, so I had to take it off. I've taken my name off it now, so you are free to read it *phew*...
Now the blasted format is too many kilobytes for this forum....I'll keep trying...
If it was easy it wouldn't be a computer!
Trying AGAIN. Had to save it in JPG format, then decrease the size. Why couldn't it be simple...
It worked! If you click on the thumbnail a couple of times you should be able to read it...I tried it out myself. Now my neck is aching and I think I have RSI!!!
Hope it was all worth it!!!
That Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer had better be a nurse and/or midwife!
Thanks for posting this (especially given how arduous the process was!)

I can't believe they answer email with snail mail. There's some governmental efficiency...
They did answer via email. It was scanned as an attachment...

Good for you, Jay!
Nice to see our erstwhile public servants actually responding to a citizen's enquiry!
I've advocated for this for over 30 years!
Oh well, while it's too late for me, it's a good thing for the current nursing workforce.
The fact it's taken this long though .................. *sigh*
Hey, but Grace, maybe without your advocacy we'd be waiting another thirty years?!
hahaha! good point, Jay!
My activist days on behalf of the nursing profession are over now! :)
However, maybe my generation and our activisim has helped bring about change. :)
I know it has in several areas, including wages and conditions.
