I know I am way ahead of the game but I wanted to start this thread early so we could have some time to share pointers and tips we have collected along the way concerning this course. Maybe we can make it a little less stressful by trying to be as prepared as we can!!

Check the grade tab in blackboard to see if there is a change in the total # of points. It seems they added the practice quiz with the first assignment points together. Looks like our group made a B. I guess that is OK for the first one and now we know what is expected(somewhat). Since I submitted the assignment, I was able to look at the comments given. Our AC has not posted it to the file exchange as of yet.

The next 3 weeks can’t go fast enough!!

You should be able to a least figure out your grade on the assignment.

We made a B as well. I understand some of the point deductions but some of them I find to be a little unrealistic. S+I am spending so much time trying to edit and answer so may of the questions I have not had much time to study for the quiz. Then throwing this JC article on top of things is just too much!!!

Just finished submitting week 2 assignments. Haven't focused on quiz yet and have to work tonight. Will get back at it tomorrow. 2 weeks down 3 to go. This group stuff is NO FUN! Hurry up and wait for everyone to participate!

IF they participate is the problem!! Or they participate and their work is a mess!! These nurses are a disgrace to the profession and I want to know where they work at to avoid that institution at all costs.

It completely baffles me that every five weeks this class is a disaster and each and every participant has a horrible experience and yet they just do it all over again. When they decide to make changes, like giving you search criteria for your journal club, it only makes things harder. I feel like every week you have not only your work to do but the editing and corrections and rewriting of so many things. With as much work as they pile on it is a disgrace to make these quizzes worth such a large percentage of your grade!

My brain is mush. I have read so much information I don t think I can remember any of it. I would swear that I hadn't read a single set of notes except I am looking at my own handwriting on the pages where I took notes. This class is crazy, it should definitely be made into an 8 week course so you can at least have the first week to just try and learn some of the concepts with out all this other work.

I really don't think they want you to LEARN anything! We are spending to much time worrying about if group members are doing their work adequately(& re-doing most of it) and not enough time on the content. I just could not stand this class for 8 weeks. Being with some of these nurses for 5 is too long!

BTW, the person doing the least amount of work...Ok, really none... in my group is also taking History with this course. I can type this here because I am certain it is none of you!! (we know better).

Yea this course is flawed on so many levels there really is no saving it. The only thing they could do is start from square 1. I can at least say I have a really great coach and that has helped me personally a lot! I have a feeling after quiz one we will all be ready to throw our hands in the air and run away screaming. I have a feeling there maybe be a large number of people dropping after that point.
