I know I am way ahead of the game but I wanted to start this thread early so we could have some time to share pointers and tips we have collected along the way concerning this course. Maybe we can make it a little less stressful by trying to be as prepared as we can!!
I hate this class with a passion. Our AC definitely graded us so that we could not make an A in the class. I can see why they make you take Elementary Statistics first. By the time you finish Stats, you are already at least half-way done and way too far in to get out.
I will make a B so long as we get a passing grade on this paper we turned in.
Actually, only need a high failing grade. However, my friend needs a little bit higher failing grade, so I am hoping to at least pass this APA paper. This class makes me definitely not want to recommend UTA to anyone.
Got our APA paper back. We made a 94. I am amazed! So glad to be officially over.
To sum up the end of this nightmare course, the person in my group responsible for turning in the paper submitted the wrong one. She turned in the rough draft that we first put together that didn't even have the personal communication. I of course didn't know this until my paper grade showed up as an 82. Then when I went and looked at the paper I immediately knew it was the wrong one. After calling the faculty we got to have our paper regraded minus 10 points for it being late, which of course it wasn't. The paper was posted in the discussion board at noon on Saturday. Any way, it bumped our grade to an 86, which should have been a 96, and I still got to keep my A in the class. The entire format of this class needs to be revised. People should not be subjected to complete others peoples work and then still be dependent on them to turn in assignments. I am beyond exhausted. I guarantee I devoted at least 30 hrs a week to this class for the last five weeks.
