Repeats when Applying for NOVA Nursing program

Hi girls/guys. This is for those that have applied and gotten accepted into the NOVA Nursing programs (fort myers & ft lauderdale.)

Did any of you have any repeats in the sciences? I saw on the website that they absolutely accept no repeats in ANY courses. Yet, i've READ about a few on here that HAVE repeats in the sciences. What is the deal? If you have please tell me which courses. thnxs! And any advice on what i can do.. I have an Instructor withdrawal on my Anatomy I first term in college 4 years ago. And it's bitting me in the ***! HELP :(

Well I applied in June 2010 -_- so ive been waiting almost 3 months and its been like soooooo crazy, ive been crazy anxious I just want to know already... Nova is definetly my top pick. I have a 3.41 and I have all As & Bs in My sciences... Ive been checking my VIP page everyday since June and I recently am only checking it 2-3 times a week... I just want to start already.. I didnt know that there was an option to go to kendall.. I applied to the main campus but if i get accepted im going to ask for kendall? cause I live in Miami and driving up to davie will be verryyyy long lol... But i hope we all get in so we can study together

By the way Jen do you know how to calculate your GPA for all the science courses?

Yess that would be awesome! We can all finally meet outside the computer blogs lol! Its so funny becuase everyone thinks Nova is so eassssyyy to get into! They have no idea the stress we are going through!!!!! I think they said at Nova we should be finding out around October, but I dont think I can wait that loooong :-/ The suspense is killing me!!!!!!

Yess, to calculate your science gpa the following:

the classes are (for NOVA): Micro, both Anatomys plus the labs, and Chemistry

REMEMBER: Classes are 3 credit hours and labs are 1 credit hour!

LOL!! I actually wanted to apply to Barry but Idk the requirements, what are they? My gpa overall (since I have like a million credits lol) is 3.23 but my gpa for the pre-reqs for Nova is a 3.5.

well for sure all your sciences which includes mcb,anatomy,nutrition,biology, everything! like i was going to take nutrition in the summer but i was like for what if im going to Nova, so in August I was applying to Barry and I got accepted to pre nursing and I asked why not the nursing program and the guy told me because I did not complete Nutrition-_- so im taking it in the fall just in case I dont get into Nova.. I have plan B , but he told me once you have it you will be considered for nursing sooooo im taking nutrition... by the way when i calculate my GPA i dont include biology ? and I dont have enough spaces? lol help ;]

Of course Ill help! Have you taken Biology too? And the lab? Remember Nova only requires either Anatomy 1+2 and labs or Biology and lab? Let me know!

Btw: I am also taking Nutrition in the summer so I can apply to FIU as a backup! What are the requirements for Barry and what college are you at? Im at MDC!

Yeah I took biology lecture... and I took Micro & Lab and I took both anatomys with lab.... Thank God Im calculating my Gpa right now manually cause it has a good step by step approach.. whats your science GPA

I have taken both anatomy's with the labs, Micro (will be taking lab in fall), and Chem. I have a 3.5 in science! And you?

me too! 3.5 I just finished calculating it ;] are u taking it at mdc? well Im sure we will get in if not we will find another option... but i really want to go to Nova ! go sharks lol
