Try different approaches to learning the material. If you only read the book last time, try reviewing power points and lectures on youtube in addition to reading. Review your notes a little bit everyday. There are lots of free practice quizzes available online too and the Saunders NCLEX book really helped me review for HESI recently. Also, a lot of maternity is memorization so flashcards helped me a lot too.
Good luck!
Edit: Oh and don't worry, a lot of people struggle with maternity for some reason. My class scored the lowest in maternity out of all subjects on HESI so you're not alone!

I failed maternity myself. It actually was a blessing in disguise because I got it so much better the second time around. I mean, I'd already been through the material once, so I could focus more on the things I bombed on. That was my positive take on it.
Try to figure out your weaknesses and concentrate on those.

I would've have failed that semester (maternity/Peds) had not dropped out. I can tell you that I've been exactly where you are. It's highly disappointing but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Try to get with the instructors and pin-point what you did wrong and struggled with. Take the semester off if you can and mentally recoup. Turns out nearly failing was the best thing that could have happened because I was mentally boosted for the remainder of the program. I ultimately passed. I've made to success. You can too! Trust me!

The person you should ask this question of is the instructor. Honestly, I never cease to be amazed at the number of students who never talk to the instructor through the course of the semester (not saying this is you OP- just a general observation).
