Everything I heard from them was due to me contacting them, I probably sent 10 emails during the application process, the last of which was to confirm they received everything they needed. So if you haven't heard from them don't take it to mean anything. Also, when I talked to them they said that competitive was around a 3.2 with an 80 or so TEAS. I had a GPA and TEAS score above this mark, but I don't want to put it all down on here. They do seem to look at the applicant overall, so if one of these wasn't very good they might still accept you.
I just got my acceptance packet a few days ago!!! I'm so excited!! Is everyone who is planning on attending from Florida? I'm from out of state and just curious about where people are planning on living. I know Lake Mary is a great area but I was considering living half way between Orlando and Lake Mary to be centrally located once clinicals start and stuff.
Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!!! :)

Congrats on getting accepted!! :yeah:I can't wait to meet everyone at orientation.
Just to give you a little more info about clinicals before you start looking at places to live based on them. First quarter, you won't start clinicals until week 7 or so. Clinicals are only one day a week, but you'll have to go the night before to pick up your assignment. Three of the clinical sites are downtown Orlando, but the fourth is in Sanford. Second quarter, you'll still be at the same clinical site you were in first quarter, but you'll also have Public Health Clinical once a week. You'll either be at Lake County health dept. or the health dept. at Sanford. Third quarter, you get a whole new set of clinicals. OB/Peds is downtown Orlando (once a week), and Mental Health will either be South Seminole Hosp or another hospital towards UCF (again once a week I think). Fourth quarter, you'll do your practicum the last 6 weeks of the semester. So you'll be in class every day for the first 6 weeks, then no class for the last 6 weeks (just working in the hosp. approx. 3 days a week).
You'll be in school every day the first quarter with the exception of clinicals, which isn't until week 7. Quarter 2, you have group projects which means having to meet up with your classmates outside of class. I can't give you any advice for 3rd or 4th quarter because we're not there yet haha :)
My last bit of info for those from out of state, the I-4 is awful, but you'll more than likely have to use it. The great things about clinicals is that you'll be driving on the I-4 when there's no rush hour traffic. Living in close proximity to the interstate will allow you to sleep in a bit, which is helpful at 4:30am :)
Wow! Thank you SO much for all the info firefly!!! I really appreciate it! It's been sort of difficult to figure all this out while I'm across the country. I have heard that the traffic in that area is horrendous so I have been trying to look at apartments that are near the highway. If you don't mind me asking, what area do you live in and do you think it is convenient? The apartment that my boyfriend and I are in love with is in Altamonte Springs.

My interview went ok, I had it at 12 after working 930pm until 6am and then not sleeping, but I explained it and she was very nice about it. When I interviewed she told me the deadline had been extended but those who had complete applications would have their applications reviewed by the weekend and I got my letter on monday. I suggest just asking them when the committee is meeting, you should receive the decision a couple days after that.
