Relocate to Sunny California?????

Published

Hello to all!

I am an RN in a level II NICU hospital located in west Texas. I am in a desperate need of change, I would like to relocate myself and my family to sunny California. Does anyone know of any good web sites or personal suggestions on a good place to call home? I was thinking San Franscisco, but I hear the cost of living is outrageous. Help anyone?

Geeze, Steph. 18 and 6. That's quite the spread! Mine just turned 25....

Mine are 24 (boy), 22 (boy), 18 (girl) and 6 (boy) . . ...

The 6 year old is trying to get me to spank his sister . . I said no, she is almost 18, she will sue me. She is laughing.

My dh thought we should have another one when we had this last surprise one so he won't be an only child . . . I however am looking forward to the day that his sis goes off to college and he is an only child. ;)

Tazzi . . . I think the key word here is "central". . . lots of folks don't consider SF to be Northern CA.

sigh . . . this is fun but I've got to get the youngest one in bed because it is past his bedtime . . . mommy played too long on the computer.

Sure. Be magnamimous in the face of defeat. :trout:

*heehee*

That's 'cause you can't reach me!

bedtime for baby

bedtime for baby

I should do that too but I just cut some large pieces of black tape for my son to put over his sister's ears so she "won't be irritated" by him anymore. I'm waiting for a reaction . . . . . (bad mom, bad mom).

Tazzi - this feeling by those of us in Northern CA about SF and below may be more political . . . . y'all are stealing our water, letting the mountain lions get out of control, taxing us to pay for your smog problems, etc. :D:D

I grew up in So. Cal . . .and went to college there . . . so I know. ;)

The poor OP . . . . will never want to move here now. ;)

steph

I'M NOT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!!!!!

Only time I've ever seen smog is when I went to Disneyland and the San Diego Zoo!!!

*ahem*

Found at wikipedia:

"Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. The region contains the San Francisco Bay Area, including the state's third largest city San Jose, a major center of government, commerce, and culture; the state capital, Sacramento; as well as the substantial natural beauty of the redwood forests, the northern California coast, the Big Sur coastline area, the Sierra Nevada including Yosemite Valley and Lake Tahoe, and Mt. Shasta, the second-highest peak in the Cascade Range."
