Rejected!!!

I applied to two FNP programs. I have heard back from one. I was turned down. 😢 I was told they had three times the number of applicants to openings. I think the lady was just trying to make me feel better. The other program I applied to I don't expect to get into either. It's is extremely competitive.

Chris, if you don't get in, which I highly doubt, you will get in next semester. The cut off for my school was 3.5. You r well above that! You are a solid candidate! Be proud of all your accomplishments!

I appreciate that Jane, I am hoping that if I wasn't going to get in then I would have been told a few weeks ago when the other candidates were notified of their acceptance or rejection instead of having to wait all this time. I guess just having to wait because my application is "still under review" is what is nervewracking. I understand that it all a part of the process and I am just trying to keep calm by knowing that at this point it is out of my hands and whatever happens will happen.

We must have applied to the same school... I also found out this morning I was rejected. What bums me out the most is like I'm an alumni of this school and did so much with and for the school during my BSN program. And yet they still reject me... yeah maybe it's not meant to be...

I was so hopeful that this autumn I'd begin studying for my NP. Now I won't.

I didn't know people got rejected from FNP programs. I thought they made room for more tuition dollars. Well at least some schools are selective i guess.

Did you apply to state schools? I understand that they can be really hard to get into. Do you know what you're going to do next? There is something out there for you, it's just a matter of finding the school!

I've applied to an FNP online program for Fall 2016 and am waiting to hear back.

I looked on nursingCAS at all the schools with applications available and started the process for whichever ones I thought would work out. I had no idea there were so many programs available, some with revolving start dates.

Thank you for mentioning this website. I have to look for an online program bc my local doesn't offer the track I want (adult-gero primary). I'm curious how this website works; it's mind boggling how many programs there are!
