I was rejected too! I'm reapplying for sure, but I won't have too much changed by then. the only y thing different will be the A I just got in patho and pharm.
I was super disappointed. I didn't even get waitlisted.
I've been looking at west coast u, the cost is crazy, I know.
I'm not making any drastic movements for now. let's see what happens with the next application.
Yeah I didn't get waitlisted either. I thought my grades would be good enough to get something. Those considerations must be weighted pretty heavily which is a huge disappointment. There's no way I'll qualify for any considerations.
Yeah that is crazy expensive.
Have you heard if it's easier to get into TCU or TWU?
If you are willing to commute to nursing school, look into the BSN program at Tarleton State University. My former coworker was accepted with a 2.8 grade point average, and my best friend was provisionally accepted with a 2.6 grade point average (the school of nursing requires a minimum 2.75 GPA).
Half of the nursing students in the program live in the D/FW area and commute to Stephenville to attend school.
I don't know what area you are in. I went to a community college, which would automatically qualify me to go to any of my state universities as long as I had a 2.75 GPA. My state has two completely online RN-BSN programs. I only chose UTA because it started sooner (I would have waited until the following January for the State) and it was slightly cheaper. The downside is that I have prerequisites that are tacked on that would not have had to do if I went to state. Check out your state universities. Of course, if TX is your state, I don't have any other advice. Good luck!
I lived in Fort Worth and commuted to nursing school in Oklahoma City for an entire year, so a commute to Tyler or Stephenville doesn't seem that long to me. Then again, I'm operating on a different frame of reference. :)I'm in the Fort Worth area. I was thinking about UT Tyler as well, but that would be such a long commute! My car doesn't get the greatest gas mileage. Haha

I applied for the nursing school at UTA for the fall 2014 and I was rejected. My stats were a 3.54 overall GPA and a 3.67 science GPA with no considerations.
I'm going to apply again for the spring 2015 with a higher GPA, but what else can I do? Would I have a better chance applying to TCU or TWU? Is the TEAS way harder than the HESI?
