How does one register to take the CRNE? I have a registration application in for Ontario but can only find a list of dates for CRNE on the CNO website. Do you have to wait for some kind of authorization to test from the board of nursing before you register or can you go ahead and do it on your own?
Thank you!
Hello can u give me some information. I'am a IEN and i graduated as a nurse in the philippines and i would like to ask if i can apply through the internet to find an employer to be able to work their as a graduate nurse but as of now my application is still in process, my point is that i want to have a work as graduate nurse when i arrived in canada and to apply for a temporary permit to work becoz on the site if im not mistaken that if you have no employer you cant apply for a temporary permit and lastly what visa would i choose if im planning to take the CRNE and working as a graduate nurse for the meantime. Hope you can give me some enlightenment in this situation of mine and im looking forward for your replies thanks
There is nothing stopping you from contacting employers via the Internet but be aware many may want nurse experience. Also depends on which province you are wanting to work in as you may be required to do some assessments. Would also recommend a phone call a couple weeks later and check up on application/job etc. If wanting to work as a graduate and sit CRNE then need a TWP which does require a employer, could then look at PNP once you have passed CRNE and get permanent residency
Meant to add, any questions regarding TWP immigration etc to Canada to be asked in the International forum but would suggest first you have a search and read of the threads already there regarding moving to Canada to work. If it is just questions about life and actual work in Canada please post in this forum

Emmhemmmm. Please pay attention to the topic into which you're posting, dear members. This thread is on registering for the CRNE.
hello, i got my eligibility to sit for CRNE at nova scotia., but i will be landing this march at toronto. they say i have to undergo another process of assessment, that's why i started all over again... i have started studying and preparing for CRNE, can anyone help me on how to avail books like mosby's and lippincott?. or when can i buy this books while im still here in the philippines. thank you.
if this questions about books is against the policy, so sorry... i am new member here..hoping for understanding.![]()
This question has been asked and answered several (dozen) times. You can buy the study guides from the colleges of Nursing, which all have bookstores, and they're available through Amazon.ca and chaptersindigo.ca. The shipping costs to the Philippines are VERY high though so if you have a family member or friend already here, get them to pick them up for you and mail them.
Of course you have to undergo another assessment now that you've changed where you intend to write the exam. Because applications aren't made to write the exam but actually to become registered in that province, changing provinces means reapplying. And each province assesses slightly differently, so being given a green light in one province does not automatically mean that another province will do the same.
thanks.! noted and i appreciate your effort to answer my querries.. but would it be better if you modify the way you advise others.. I know you're very equipped in using this website, making threads' reply, posting, and all the stuffs.. the problem is that i am not.. so it's easier for me to ask it again.. sorry if you find this question again, and again..and as you have said, this has answered dozen times.. thanks anyway.
yup! i have to go assessment again. thanks.

yah, i already got my eligibility to take CRNE but i got it at Nova scotia Canada. I have applied for immigrant and i chose to land at Ontario where my sister lives. That's why i went to assessment again at Ontario (college of nurses of ontario). I have paid the assessment fees. and still waiting for their decision. Im still here in the Philippines and will be leaving this march.

Hi nurselen... Just a thought... Are you considering being based in Ontario? In my opinion, why not land in Ontario but take the exam in Nova Scotia... And if you've passed the CRNE and given the chance to work in Nova Scotia, why not grab it... Just a thought...
