Hi! I just found out I was accepted to the January 2020 start for Regis. Will any other members be in this cohort?

Hi! I don't have a master's degree yet! Your program is only a year, correct?
Yes around there. I haven't received my course schedule yet, but it will be either 4 or 5 semesters.

Congratulations NurseJamillah & Linnaete! I'm finishing up my application for Spring MSN to PMHNP DNP, the sample course schedule I have still looks like 9 semesters. I feel like it's getting close-How were you both notified of your acceptance?

By telephone, then email. I don't think that is typical, though. I think it may only have been because I had been speaking to the applications advisor a lot because my advisor changed during the application process, which made it take longer.
My admissions advisor called me to let me know, and then I had to accept by replying to their email notification. Still waiting to hear from my enrollment advisor for class plan and my school email info.

Good Luck! I am also in anticipation of starting Spring 2020! I am in the post graduate program. Have you secured a clinical site? Are there particular concerns you have about starting the program? What are your long term goals in mental health?

Did you start? How's it going?
I am in NU605 right now, leadership. Lots of papers and busy work, and they are taking me a long time to write. I was planning on increasing my work hours to save up money before clinicals start next year, but I don't know if I will be able to if it continues to be this time consuming. This is only a 3 credit hour class, but I spend 24-30 hours/week on classwork.

How are you guys liking it so far? Did you start clinicals?
It's a lot of work, but I work 40+ hours and can't lighten my load (military) plus I have 3 toddlers sooo... haha! You definitely need to have self-motivation to keep on track with reading and assignments. Two semesters down and just starting my last "didactic" semester before my clinicals start. With the pandemic, I'm reaching out now for preceptors.
