I just got done taking the HESI test and I am about to cry!!! I stayed up all night studying Alegbra and there was hardly if not none of the stuff I was studying!!!! I got a pretty alright score overall but I scored low in the reading comphersive part and I am soo shocked I could cry. I didnt even go over that part of the book to much because I thought I would ace it, instead of staying up all night worrying about variables I should of just got more sleep!
And the worse part of it all is that I am going to have to wait till maybe March to see if I get in!
I have a feeling its going to be a long wait.

Try to calm down..I know it's easier said than done. When I took the HESI entrance exam, I scored low on reading comprehension, even though I'm an avid reader but the conditions weren't so good. Sun shining on the computer, another student I remember moving around, stretching--right in my line of vision, etc. I didn't get a wonderful score but I got in so all is not lost. chin up!!!
Thanks:-)
I am really trying to keep it up. I know when I was talking to the director about the scores I think I started to tear up alittle! And she was like "its ok, I am not saying you cant be a nurse" I am also a pretty avid reader so I am wondering if I was over conifident and flew threw it.
I know this may sound wired but when I was sitting in that office it turely hit me how bad I wanted to be a RN! Worse case I dont go in April and I have to try to get into the October class
On another note: did anyone think the HESI was going to be differert then it really was?

On another note: Does this distrub anyone else....and what kind of post would you use it in?

Hey Coloradogrl, you've got a great attitude about the test. I had a question about the study guide. Did it really help you? I'm taking the HESI in a few weeks and I'm wondering if it's worth it to get the study guide. Also, did you have to take any of the science portions?
BTW...I believe the beating a dead horse smiley is used when a topic is discussed repeatedly.

Sounds like the "Post Test Bummers" to me! You stayed up studying for an exam, took it, adrenaline is all gone, you're tired, and things look pretty grim. Cure? Sleep is highly recommended--usually, a new perspective comes the next day.
You did the best you could! If the results aren't what you had hoped for, you'll figure out what to do-- HANG IN THERE!!!

I got the Cliffs test prep-Nursing school entrance exam and it was great! I was not required to take any of the science parts but I could of if I wanted too. But they didnt count toward or against me.
If you want I would be willing to just send you my book if you want:) So you dont have to go buy a new one! I would say go to the libary but they dont seem to have the pre-nursing books. But a good one your libary might have is the Cliffs-Basic Math and Pre Alegbra which is all you will need....and even that is more then you do one the math! On the math you pretty much need to know Percents,Ratios and basic math adding,subtracting,dividing.....but you get a calcutator so its not a biggie! I was shocked on how easy the math was:rolleyes: The grammer section is pretty easy and some of the vocab is nursing related....like they ask, " what is your fingertip to your heart" then it is multi choice ie promixal, dorsal......
Let me know if you want me to send you the book!
