Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2011

Hello all,

It's almost that time of year again! I'm applying to the 2011 class which the application period begins this November 1st. We have two months to prepare our applications! Anyone else applying? I've seen the support the last year's class has with this sort of thread and I figured there should be one started for 2011 applicants. What is your TEAS score? GPA? A&P I grade? What were the averages that the 2010 applicants had and they are now starting the fall 2010 program?? Good luck!!!

I spoke to Capital last week, and they told me there were going out this week. I know I am not the only one who was told that as well. Did they offer you an explaination as to why they were getting pushed back? I dont know if I can take another week or two of this!

Anybody think they will post the status on mycommnet once the letters go out?

I would think if they had some sort of commnet notification by accident that they have something in place to notify us when they're supposed to. You'd think so anyways...

Mail came- nothing :(

I was under the impression they were getting mailed today, so I am praying for good news tomorrow! Hopefully The mail is as efficent as I am counting on it being! :)

Me too! I live in New Haven & I've gotten most things mailed from within the city the very next day. I'm really hoping that's the case this time- I feel like my heart's going to pop ;-)

oh, nevermind. I guess the letters will be coming from Hartford, huh?

It was NVCC who stated the letters will go out next week, perhaps longer. I'm frustrated as well. It would be one thing if they said from the get-go the letters will be sent out at such and such a date, but they keep changing their tune. I've heard so many different rumors from admissions at that school I don't know which piece of information to believe. At this point I'm not believing anything until the mail comes.

I feel the same way Nikki. NVCC is my first choice and I've heard so many different stories through people in my classes and this site. This site especially drives me crazy but it's too addicting to stop reading! Really thought Monday might be the day, but at this point I'm not expecting anything.

I just spoke with someone from CCC and was told letters would be mailed within the next 2 weeks from the central office.

Hello all,

I just looked back at last years thread. Most people staring getting their letters after 4/12 so I'm guessing this year will be no different. Good luck to all of you! Its too bad there has to be a waitlist. Considering we have a great nursing shortage in this country. I wish our government would consider allocating funds to hire nurses to teach and make it financially worth their while. It seems unfair we have all these great candidates, good people willing to become a nurse and not enough teachers.

After reading Annie's post I too went back to last years thread. I noticed a lot of people wer saying that most people who got waitlisted ended up being offered seats for one reason or another. Does anyone know how accurate these statements are?
