Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2011

Published

Hello all,

It's almost that time of year again! I'm applying to the 2011 class which the application period begins this November 1st. We have two months to prepare our applications! Anyone else applying? I've seen the support the last year's class has with this sort of thread and I figured there should be one started for 2011 applicants. What is your TEAS score? GPA? A&P I grade? What were the averages that the 2010 applicants had and they are now starting the fall 2010 program?? Good luck!!!

so from a reliable source at one of the cc, we were told that the announcement on mycommnet was an accident, but accurate which why it was taken down so quickly...letters (at least where i go) were being sent out today or tomorrow. hope this gives some people peace of mind...i personally was happy to catch the announcement but for those who got waitlisted, im sure it was discouraging...good luck to everyone, cant wait to see the postings when everyone gets their letters:)

yea that is a pretty massive mistake..but at least some people got early peace of mine

Laz if you don't mind me asking, were you accepted?

no letter in the mail today :/

I know the online posting was an error, but do we know if they are going to post info? Maybe, when they send letters out? I heard they're going out tomorrow. Did someone hear today? I can't function until it's over!

I'm so anxious that I can't function either ughh-- the wait is killing me! Capital CC did not make the mistake of displaying the status online at mycommnet, but I wish they did. Atleast, it would have calmed me down a little.

Hopefully, we'll receive the letters by Saturday, Monday or Tuesday to the latest.Keeping my fingers crossed.

That is if the government isn't shut down! I'm not sure if they continue with the mail?

The mail will continue, the post office is privately funded. A shutdown only affects non-esstential FEDERAL employees; veterans affairs, treasury, agriculture, interior, transportation, commerce, labor, Social Security and other agencies. Federal Housing Administration would not be endorsing home mortgages, the national parks would close, and 400 walk-in service centers operated by the Internal Revenue Service would have their doors locked. In other words the secretaries, congressional aides (on average each congressmen has about 17), grounds keepers, website updaters, etc.. those jobs will be affected.

Well, from what I heard, the post office does not close down after government shut down. Apparently, the government owns the post office buts it's not funded by the government.

College admissions stated letters might be sent out next week, perhaps longer. Lovely.

What school admission office did you talk to? I have wished this whole week away. I cannot concentrate on anything!!!! AUGH!!!!! Was hoping we would hear this weekend or Monday at latest!!
