Re-taking NCLEX RN with new format

Published

Hi,

I am a repeat test taker :crying2: for NCLEX RN. The previous time I took it was with the old format. I am now just beginning to study again and I know there is a new format. Any good tips/advise for me? And what is the difference between the old format and new one? This is so frustrating for me...but I can't give up. Also, I am in Massachusetts if anyone would like to study or knows a good tutor...Thank you!

I just took it like 3 days ago and failed at 265! 3 of my friends passed at 265! I took Kaplan over the new format and learned sum cool things. First of all you should get a copy of the new outline. The exam is super super heavy on your drugs, deligating, and precautions w/ TB, diptheria, or rubella stuff like that. Study crazy for delegating and priority more than content if you feel thats why you failed.

Try to find a new study resource if you can't afford to go to an updated review session. Just study as if you had not tested before. Leave nothing to chance. You can find the new format explained on the NCSBN website. Good luck.

Thank you for the tips. Do you happen to know if the NCSBN's study guide you can purchase goes over the new format?
