3rd time was suppose to be the Charm (FAILED NCLEX 3RD TIME)

Published

I have taken the NCLEX 3 times already and failed....I don't know what i'm doing wrong, I'm getting really fustrated and very dissappointed in myself. I took the test two time before and answered all 265 questions, and on monday my third attempt it stopped me at 109. I walked out thinking that I may have passed. When I got home I did the PVT trick and it took me to the credit card page. The results came out today, but I refuse to pay 8 dollars for them to tell me i failed again. i did the PVT trick again today and it still went to the CC page......Please help I am just fustrated with all the studying i've been doing and no results. :mad: I just want to be a nurse and start helping people this is really not allowing me to do so. I swear i have every book and CD-room known to man that deals with nclex. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!

Hi Ogechi,

You may want to look at my post "long time lurker...first time poster." I was (sorta) in the same boat as you. Only you will know when you are ready, but the one thing that I would highly recommend is a prayer to St. Joseph of Cupertino. All the best!

i am so sorry for what you've been through. i believe you have to know the content, can you honestly say that you know everything about cushing, addison, diabetes, infection control, ppe's etc:. are you following the abc's. there was a previous post and the question was who would you see first, the pt with an object in one eye or the pt with multiple lacerations to the face. the answer is lacerations to the face, you don't know the extent of the pt's injury, might affect airway. once i learned and truly understood abc's i haven’t gotten a priority or delegation question wrong.

what i’m trying to say is do you honestly understand everything you have learned. if not than take your time, do one section at a time until you get it. pray for courage and guidance, never give up. as you seen on allnurses, some pass on their 4, 5th time, of course you don't want to go that far, but things happen for a reason.

good luck, and stay positive.

Persistence is the key. Do not give up and you will pass.

@Ogechi

I believe that everything happens for a reason.. and that God knows what we can do, and He will never give us a challenge that we cannot overcome.. :D

I learned that getting your core content rock solid foundation is the way to go... And I would like to ask, you said you have every NCLEX book known to man right? if so, do you study ALL of them?? Maybe thats the problem, your putting yourself through too many review materials.. Out of all of them, which one seems to be working with you the most? Why don't you try sticking to 1 or 2 or even 3 if you want, and just simply build on the core content... Remember, strategies are all good and helpful but if you don't know your content how can you use those strategies? Also, concentrate on areas that seem to be your weakness, for example, if Pharm is your weakness try to review more on that...

Most importantly, PRAY, and BELIEVE in GOD's purpose for us.. :D

Pray to St.Jude Thaddeus, patron Saint of Hopeless cases.. Remember, FAITH and PRAYER, those are the most important things to do to prepare... :D

FEELING Your Pain. We will master this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
