I am a second semester student in the program. I found the Pocket Prep app to be great as well as the elesevier review book sold in the book store. (They have it cheaper on Amazon) I also took the 4 part review course they offered and my instructor was great although I have heard he is not there now.(I am a non traditional student so I needed to brush up on all subjects. Been many years since I earned my BS degree) I would do the Pocket Prep questions any free min I had...commercial breaks, waiting for kids when picking up etc. You can customize which subjects you want to practice. You really want to put your best foot forward. The admission process is highly competitive and since they got ranked #1 in NJ, they are turning people away. They are trying to obtain more clinical sites to accomodate more students. My cohort was 120 and they turned away roughly 30 more due to lacking clinical slots. This is where ranking comes into play. Good luck!!!!
How did you do on your test? And what area did you feel was the most challenging? And also, have you noticed at all if they accept older students into the program? Like in their 40's?
I did very well and felt what I did to prep was helpful. Bio was the hardest for me. Yes, they accept older students and there is a lot of us! I am not the oldest and I am 48!
Thank you sooo much for all your correspondence! That's a bit of relief. Hope it all works out for me, I'm sooo nervous.
I remember the nerves well! Just prepare and it willbe ok! Make sure to let us know how it goes. Good luck!!
