RCC Nursing Spring 2024 (ADN & CEP))

Published

Hello everyone,

If you are submitting an application from June to July for RCC's CEP or traditional ADN for Spring 2024, then I encourage you to ask on THIS thread. My hope is that this thread can be a great resource for fellow applicants -- I know how much I appreciated having words of wisdom and fellow peers as I apply. Let's support each other as much as possible.

A little about me: I'm taking Bio 50B and Soc 1 this Spring, and I have yet to take the TEAS. I have a bachelor's degree, special circumstances, dosage calc class, and I'm bilingual.

Don't forget to have your TEAS scores turned in by today. Good luck everyone, I hope my points are enough, fingers crossed!

For those of us who submitted a CEP app, acceptance/rejection letters should come to us in October -- 2 more weeks!!

What points did everyone apply with? I applied with 82 I'm nervous since it's so competitive.

If they accept everything, I'll have 47 points (not counting TEAS), and 72 points counting the TEAS. I have Healthcare related work experience, but because it's not licensed I felt like I wasn't going to get points, so I didn't add it. I should've added it just incase they would've given a point or two. It's okay ??

I applied with 76!

I'm not sure how one of my classes ended up getting calculated, so I have either 84 or 86 points (B.A., special circumstances, foreign language).

I'd be so surprised if the cutoff was 80 or mid 70s even. I heard that the cutoff for CEP ended up as 70, the traditional ADN cutoff is still being measured. We'll find out the official cutoffs for both traditional ADN and ADN/BSN CEP in October. Stay strong everyone!

Do you mean the CEP cutoff is 70 for the Spring 2024 cohort? That's good to know, thanks! Although, I expect to get a denial for CEP even though my points are well above that. I got my B.A. in 2008 with a lackluster GPA, so my overall GPA is just barely below CEP's requirement. It feels silly since I've maintained a 4.0 since then, but I should still get into the traditional program.

where did you find the cut off point for Spring CEP??

on the email they sent me after I submitted my application, it said early October for CEP and mid-November for traditional.

Regardless of GPA, if your points are above the cutoff, then you would be accepted into CEP program.
