RCC Nursing Spring 2024 (ADN & CEP))

Published

Hello everyone,

If you are submitting an application from June to July for RCC's CEP or traditional ADN for Spring 2024, then I encourage you to ask on THIS thread. My hope is that this thread can be a great resource for fellow applicants -- I know how much I appreciated having words of wisdom and fellow peers as I apply. Let's support each other as much as possible.

A little about me: I'm taking Bio 50B and Soc 1 this Spring, and I have yet to take the TEAS. I have a bachelor's degree, special circumstances, dosage calc class, and I'm bilingual.

Hello? I am planning to apply this month for the Spring 2024

I am meeting with a counselor to see my exact GPA but I believe I have around 71 points. I am trying to take either the nursing or dosage class for the 2 extra points!

I submitted my application today ?? I hope we can all get in somewhere for Spring 2024! Im applying to a few other colleges that are close enough for me to commute to. I'm taking dosage calculations this Summer, the class ends 08/03... do you think I can get my transcript to them in time for that class for them to consider it, or would it be too late?

Are you taking dosage calculations at RCC? If so, they will already have your transcripts. If not, I would talk to a counselor to see when and how to turn them in. I know the TEAS scores aren't due till Sept 8th not sure about transcripts though. Good luck! Hope we all get in!

I'm taking is at SBVC. Yeah, you're right, I'm going to talk to a nursing counselor and ask if they think I'll have enough time to have the class be considered, if not, at least I'm getting it done now and it can help me in the future if I need to apply again. Thank you, good luck, and I'll be back with any updates! ?

Hey everyone! I have a question you are able to retake GE classes like Sociology and they will take your higher grade correct? I took that class back when I was young and dumb, and now I want to retake it over Summer for a better grade

I believe so. I know you can only repeat one science class, though.

Hey guys! Does anyone know if we have to have our transcripts from other colleges verified for course equivalence through RCC's counseling department? Also, in my application confirmation email, it said that the deadline to submit your TEAS transcript for the CEP applicants is August 3rd. I sent my transcripts through the ATI website to "Riverside CC ADN" June 23rd, and they're saying they haven't received them. I have emailed and called to try to get it straightened out but its so hard to get an email response or any help. I called ATI to confirm they were sent and they confirmed they were sent correctly.

That is a good question. When I got my transcripts sent from UCR, I did notice that getting an appointment with a counselor was the best way to know which classes were properly transferred. I also appealed to have a class count as credit at RCC by contacting (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). As an aside from transcripts, (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) has been very helpful for my concerns and questions so I recommend contacting him about the TEAS.

Also, maybe entering RCC TEAS is the best option when enrolling on the ATItesting website.

Thank you so much, I will try again and hopefully I'll be able to get everything resolved. ?

Has anyone been invited to take the TEAS yet? I know invites went out for the concurrent enrollment, haven't heard anything about the traditional invites yet though.

I applied to both the CEP and traditional ADN and I haven't received a TEAS invite ?
