RCC Nursing Fall 2019

Hello! I thought I'd start this thread for anyone who is applying for the RN program at Riverside City College for Fall 2019! Let's all chat! :)

Just curious, how do you all plan on paying for the program? Will financial aid be of help?

I don’t receive financial aid... should I apply for fafsa before I apply to the nursing program? I don’t receive it for regular classes at RCC I’m not sure if that changes when I apply for nursing school.

You should apply every year and let them determine that you aren’t eligible. Make school as free as possible. Also, just because you don’t get it for RCC, doesn’t mean you won’t for CSUF/CSUSB. I didn’t get it for RCC in the past but got it when I was going to CSUSB. Also add every school that you apply to.

i originally was going to go to CSUSB but i didnt recieve it then.... maybe i didnt apply correctly? Should i apply for the next cycle then? and do you know when that is?

Did you receive an award letter from CSUSB saying you wouldn’t get any grants AND no loans?

RCC has spring and fall admissions for the RN program. I don’t know the dates but I’m sure the School of Nursing page has the most update info.

I would also tell anyone who bombed the teas or doesn’t have the strongest grades in the sciences to go LVN then bridge to RN.

Notifications for the 2 year RN program have not all been sent yet. We hope to send them within 2 weeks.

VN-RN notifications will be sent mid to late June

Petition notifications will be sent in mid June.

CEP Students, have you guys officially applied to CSUF yet? Have you guys gotten the GE Certification from RCC yet?

Does anyone know which RN should be selected, I need to change my program of study but there are 3 choices and I dont know which one to select. The one with B and C at the end stands for plan B and plan C. Should i choose the one without any letters at the end
