RCC Nursing Fall 2016 possible applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello all! Please respond if you are seeking a support group regarding applying in Fall 2016.

How many points did you apply with?

I definitely know how anxious you feel! Give it your best shot. The hard work will pay off in the end. I believe I scored a 78 on my teas and I applied to the program with 75 points. It's interesting because the point acceptance range really depends on the people you are applying with. Also, it will depend on whether or not everyone accepts the spot once it's offered. You wouldn't believe how many people don't and they start pulling from the list of alternates. I read that someone made it in the last fall cohort with 65 points. So I def wouldn't count anything out.

Hi everyone! I completed all of my general ed classes and will only have micro and a&p 2 to complete during fall 2016 semester. My question is, can I still apply during the September 2016 application period even though those two classes will not be complete until December 2016?

Can you apply if you have two prereqs in progress?

When will they notify you if you have been accepted? Good luck! A lot of nurses would be so thankful to be in your position of actually completing all the classes to apply. Keep striving! :)

They will accept your application with classes in progress but your application will be considered low priority. In my opinion, it's best to apply after all your pre-reqs are complete.

I believe you can apply with them in progress but I think they will take the people that have them all completed at a higher priority. The application is free besides transcripts. If you do not mind taking the TEAS earlier than you could apply before and after.

I am hearing from several people, that rcc son is the hardest to get into and the hardest while accepted. Do you agree with this? Or is it just an on going rumor?

Where else did you apply to? I took the Teas, and did not do as good as I wanted. I may have to look into other programs.

Man I applied with only 70 points cause I figure if I don't get in, I only have a year left to finish my bachelors in another field. I just wanted to go with nursing. I applied to Chaffey as well but we're supposed to hear back by mid next week I believe at the latest :/

how likely do you think I'll get accepted if I finished all other ge classes required for the associates degree in nursing and with an 86 on my TEAS?

So you got an 86 on TEAS that is awesome, so over all you have 70 points? What requirements are you missing? Which GE bc honestly with what you scored on you TEAS and an overall 70 I wouldn't count you out. Just depends what GE you're missing.

Thank you! I was sad because I was hoping for a 90 to bump up my points but I had 4 other midterms to study for :(

I finished all of them. If I was accepted, I would only need the nursing classes.

I think you have a very good chance. I pm you.
