Hello all! Please respond if you are seeking a support group regarding applying in Fall 2016.
I am applying to the RN program in September for the Spring of 2017. I heard that during the waiting semester, it is smart to take classes at RCC, that way you stay active as a student and will have higher priority in registration. I just saw this page, and I was curious if that was true or if anyone knows information about that. Did anyone do this during their off semester? Please let me know. Thanks!
From what I know is that as long as you stay active in the Fall and Spring it makes you look as if you're being cindidting. Summer and Winter aren't a big deal if you miss taking a course. Keeping your priority I believe applied to staying active in during the major semesters ( spring and fall) but this would be a question to ask your counselor to get a solid answer.
If you mean priority registration for nursing classes then that registration is handled completely different from regular classes and can only be approved by nursing faculty. I hadn't taken classes at RCC in over 2 years when I applied to the program, and was accepted. I only needed to submit my application for Fall and then I was granted priority registration after receiving clearance. Applying to Nursing school doesn't require you to be a current active RCC student. Hope that makes sense.

Hello, all! Good luck to everyone applying to the fall program.
I hope this is an appropriate thread to place this post. My name is Matt and I just completed the first semester of RCC's 2016 spring RN program. It was a great experience and I learned a lot! Three weeks into the program, however, I found out I was accepted to a graduate program at another school. While RCC is an excellent program, the graduate program I got into satisfies other goals I have been wanting to accomplish. Therefore, after completing the first semester, I will no longer be participating in RCC's RN program. Needless to say, I have all of the RCC nursing materials I would like to sell. I actually bought all the books for the entire two years of the program, all brand new from RCC's bookstore. I'm only missing one book (which we only used for one chapter- you don't need to purchase this book. I can fill you in more if you're interested in purchasing the set). I also have a nursing supply bag for lab I'll throw in. The books retail new at a total of $1600 and the bag from the RCC site is $129. I'm only asking $700 for everything. You'll still need to buy the online licenses separately for doing the program required Course Point and U prep work. Anyway, if this is something that interests you, text me at (951). 567-3725. I'm near Riverside and can meet for delivery at a reasonable distance. I can also share photos and answer any other questions over text or call. I'll try to check this thread too. Thanks for reading!
