Hello everyone!
I was looking into Rasmussen College in Fort Myers, Florida. I was wondering if there was anyone who has attended or currently attending Rasmussen at the Fort Myers campus? What were/are your thoughts on the program? Since I already have a B.S. in Exercise Science, I was looking at doing the A-BSN, Second Degree option. I have already attended a Nursing Information Session with the school and it seems like a great opportunity. Just looking to get more insight about the program from people who have gone through it.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I haven’t posted anything here since I previously said I could post my experiences at the Orlando campus. I just cannot write without seeming to complain, nor minimize the breadth of poor program management and handling. I appreciate the opportunity to write of my experiences but regretfully I cannot muster enough of a rose-colored filter.
So again, I say I admire your ability to record your experiences with factual information only. And to have done this throughout your time there is amazing. You got through, and with great grades and passed the NCLEX, which is really the most important parts worth mentioning. Congratulations again on a job well done! ?I hope to do the same and graduate. You are my inspiration! ?
@Kimmy00 Thank you! And I certainly understand where you are coming from. It can sometimes be difficult to remove our emotions when reporting our experiences. There will always be something that we are frustrated or disagree with. I myself think nursing education needs an overhaul and think an approach similar to the medical schools might be more effective. But that is a discussion for another day. haha
Remember that much of your experience is what you make of it. Stay positive. Know that this is only temporary. Find a mentor in a teacher or another student. I am also sending you a PM!

@vcRNI wish I had taken it sooner! One of people in my cohort got her ATT a week before the rest of us. Not sure why.
Honestly, after school finished, I pretty much only used Picmonic. I did one 40-question Fundamentals quiz on ATI and 10 questions on Osmosis. But I followed the Picmonic 4-Weeks to NCLEX Study Planner and Workbook. I only got through the first 2 weeks, but I had already watched almost all of the other Picmonic videos throughout school and did the daily quiz questions nearly every single day for over a year. So, I already had a pretty good foundation even before starting my NCLEX review.

I’m glad that worked for you. I appreciate you updating us on your journey, especially since I go to the same campus. You’ve been a motivator for me. Thank you! Good luck, RN!!

It would be very beneficial for my family and I to to start then and finish my quarter in June as scheduled, but to then take a quarter off (July August September) then go back and finish the rest. He is in Alaska and fishes and we need to split time so I will be going with him during this time. Ihave all of the general ED classes completed besides chem and nutrition. My questions are: will they allow me to take that time off and start back up in October and just continue straight thru, and would it be possible to take those two gen ED classes online while I am there visiting? Or will they want me to take those classes (Chem and Nutrition) before I even start the core classes? I am EXTREMELY serious about this program so if not then that is fine, I just would like to know ahead of time. I plan on going to speak to someone here soon as well. Any info is very helpful, thank you!
Hey, I am a student at Rasmussen. I am doing the ADN program as an LPN transfer. I am in my first semester with them now completeting nutrition and Chemistry. They are both completely online in 5.5 weeks. They actually just moved the shot records due date back for those starting in August until the end of the term. You may be able to start late for this term since we just started yesterday.

I did graduate! I am working at a Level 3 NICU as a new grad, and I love it! ?
I am happy with my choice to attend Rasmussen. You will definitely find people who are/were not happy with the program, but no program is perfect. Especially right now with this pandemic and everything being online, including clinicals. But overall, Rasmussen provided me with the instruction and opportunities to pass the NCLEX and be successful as a nurse.
