Ran out of time!!

Published

I took the RN boards this morning for my THIRD time and I got to question 205 and the time ran out. I know I got the last question wrong cause I looked it up when I got in my car =( Has anyone passed when they ran out of time and also got the last question wrong??? I'm so stressed! :crying2: I did the Pearson thing and it didn't let me register but I don't know if I waited long enough cause I just took it today.

Try doing a search we have had a few members post that they pasted even by running out of time. They will take your last 60 questions into consideration when making the decision on whether you pass or not. Good luck

I dont think you should be stressing over it so much!(even though its easier said than done!) Dont look up any of the questions, itll only drive you crazy- but if you cant help yourself, write down all of the questions you were iffy on and put the list away. When you get your results back, and hopefully this isnt your case, but if you have failed, then open that list and study those areas of information, and look them up if you must- ..... it must seem like the longest wait in the world, but itll come! And until then try to keep your sanity. Even if you got the last question wrong you could have got a good chunk of them right so it doesnt matter- and as for running out of time- that is a great fear of mine! Since you dont know how many questions youll its hard to plan it out. Im gonna try and plan my time based on the total amount of questions- but anyways i wish you the best of luck and try your best to relax- you cant change anything now so just sit back and enjoy your ride!

as silverdragon stated, when you run out of time, the computer uses only your last 60 questions. if any one (1) of your last 60 answers is below the level of competency line, this indicates failure. when you arrived at the pearsonvue site, you should have been given a handout/brochure. this information is located within the content of the brochure.

even though you may have gotten an answer wrong; does not mean you failed. your wrong answer could have been well above the competency line due to correct answers made earlier.

i am sure you passed.

good luck!

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
