Hello fellow new grads and RNs,
I couldn't find a current thread for the RN residency program at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, so I decided to start one. :)
I applied first thing on 3/11/11 for all open positions- but I really hope to work in Hem/Onc (
I've heard they look for experience and like to hire internally (last new grad class was ~80% internal hires) from a friend of mine who works there.
Does anyone know any other info (number of positions, how many apps, etc)?
Has anyone heard anything yet? If you have heard from them, can you describe the type of candidate you are (degree, experience, app date/time, etc.)?
Thanks guys! Best wishes to all in this extremely tough job market!

mday001: I never heard anything. I looked at my application status and it changed to the one saying that I was not selected. Such a bummer.
UCI&USFMom: I definitely accepted the offer! I just got the formal offer letter and the background check is done. I start on July 25! Super excited, ED is where I really wanted to be. Dream job is a peds ED but I have to start somewhere! Thanks and wish your daughter good luck!

My daughter never heard back from Rady's. She already accepted CHOC and 2 more managers wanted her at UCIMC. She wanted the ICU experience. Did you accept Sharp's offer? Go for it. I have an uncle there who's a PA. Good luck!
