Rady Children's Nurse Residency Summer 2020

Hello all!

I couldn't find a discussion for the Summer 2020 program so I thought I would start one! What did everyone apply for?

Does anyone know if Rady accepts many out-of-state applicants?

Hi everyone! I also applied for the Acute care track and my status still says submitted. I interviewed for the March 2020 cohort for 3E surgical but unfortunately wasn’t selected. From my experience your status doesn’t change. You’ll get a call for an interview, email confirming it, and then a thank you email after the interview if you didn’t get it. Hoping to get another interview and an offer this time around! ?

I applied as well, for the NICU! My status still says submitted.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if there was any word of how far in advance they let you know if you’ve been selected to interview. I’m in school on the east coast so I’ll be needing to book a flight. Just wanted to see if there was any advice??

Depending on the unit, I believe they start calling beginning/middle of April.

Also, from past threads, it looks like they don't update your submission status regardless if you get an interview or not!

@angelicaa Do you remember how soon after you submitted your app for that cohort that they contacted you for an interview?

Does anyone have an update? I saw someone on FB ask for tips on interviewing at Rady's for their NICU so I wasn't sure if interviews already went out.

Nevermind! It was for their New to NICU program. I checked Rady's website to see if they had anything regarding that and they do for experienced nurses
