Rady Children's New Grad Nursing Program 2013

Has the hospital closed the application for the new grad nurse program for this coming July? I thought the application was supposed to open in March, and now the website says that the application was open in February?

HR said that if we have not been asked for an essay thus far, its a no go :-/

Hm that's odd because I just called HR and a lady told me they are still going through everything.

oh really!? there is hope then haha. when i called, she said that they asked 200 people for essays and are going to read through all of them and she feels as though they will be able to fill their positions from that group. but hopefully that is not the case!

So weird that we are all getting different information. The lady I talked to said that they still have more applications to go through and that they really do go through every single one.

and its not even like there are multiple people giving the info. there is one nurse recruiter

I got confirmation that only 125 people got the essay and that they are being VERY particular on the guidelines for the essay, i.e. if you had over 1 in margins or 2 pages, they threw it out. Also, essays have just been forwarded to hiring managers, so they are behind even though they were planning to make calls to set up interviews for the last week in April. They're pretty behind so that may be delayed....

The waiting is killing me! :/

Soooo what about those that still haven't heard anything? HR said they are still going thru apps...ahhhhh frustrating.
