Rady Children's Hospital 2014 RN New Grad

Would anyone mind sharing your experiences for the 2nd interview at Rady? What sort of questions do they ask? How many people in the panel? How long it was? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

What's affordable to you? Are you looking to share a place or live on your own? Mission Valley and anywhere along the 8 toward the stadium you can get 2 bed 2 bath apartments or condos from 1.5 to 2/mo. North Park is a bit more packed but is nice if you're into the more hipster, bars and food scene. Pb and mission beach if you're into the beach stuff and the antics that go along with it. Clairemont /Kearny Mesa are a bit more homey and quiet. But affordable is relative unless you plan on commuting a little bit. I'm paying 1650 for condo in fashion Valley and that's a steal. Studios and singles hurt the wallet more obviously. I'd just avoid anything on El Cajon eastward and anything too far south without prior knowledge.

I'm from San Diego as well, and I agree with zzbxdo's advice! Another great spot is little Italy- it's a little more expensive but awesome restaurants, near downtown, beach etc and easy to get to the freeway

Oh yeah little Italy for sure, probably one of my more desirable areas of living, you get a little bit of the best of all sd. More on the pricy side imo but I found some pretty good deals that got snapped up QUICK.

I got hired in the ACU as well, do you know how many of us there are? This is so exciting, congrats! I can't wait to meet you all

I heard back from the ACU yesterday and was offered the position! Good luck everyone still waiting!

I heard that your floor picked up 4. You, Solas29, a personal friend of mine, and I don't know the 4th. I wonder how big our whole cohort (2014 Versant) is going to be?! There's two of us from the ED!

A coworker of mine got hired in Oncology and said he is 1 of 5 that they hired :) I think our cohort is going to be quite a good size!

Does anyone on here need a roommate in SD or know someone who does? I'm going to be moving in from out of town.

I might be interested but I will have to see what is available in the area first. I'm currently paying $550 for a 3 BR apartment in Escondido and I would love to move closer if it weren't much more expensive. I have found out that one roommate is my preference. I'll PM you.

Where are you moving from?? I'm moving from Sacramento!

My permanent home is in Fresno, but I'll be moving from my temporary home in OC :)

What unit are you in?

im gonna be on heme/onc! I'm so excited! It sounds like our cohort is gonna be awesome :)

If you guys are in town before we start we should all try to get together or something fun to get to know each other!

I LOVE this idea! It would be so nice to arrange something to meet our cohort before orientation
