Question re: recent MRI.

I recently had an MRI of my c-spine d/t numbness and tingling in my face and bilateral palms (among a myriad of other sx).My physiatrist and I weren't really expecting anything beyond typical age-related changes (I just turned 40... ack!!!), but we were surprised to see that the result also included this statement: "Limited evaluation of posterior fossa shows Chiari I Malformation"... no further explanation, no measurement of how far my cerebellum is protruding into my spinal canal... not even a recommendation for further evaluation (which my doctor and I agreed is needed anyway)...My question is this... (please keep in mind, I don't work with radiology at all). Is this a definitive diagnosis?? The majority of my symptoms do fit. I have an appointment with a neurologist in three weeks.I guess I'm most perplexed by the "Limited evaluation" part. Common sense tells me that the only reason those words are in there is because this was a c-spine MRI and not one of the brain and/or spinal cord, so there was not full visibility. Is this correct? Can anyone explain this to me? TIA. :0)
