"Patience" Is Not A Word In Our Vocabulary

Published

For those of us that are currently waiting for our results of acceptance or denial into the Fall 2015 start for nursing school, I think we can all agree that the word "patience" is not something we have.

After a long two semesters of pre-requisites, application deadline date of April 1st, final grades posted May 9th and knowing that letters will be sent "sometime before the end of May" I'm afraid that time has officially stood still!

I don't think I've ever anticipated a piece of mail so much in my life. Not even for Christmas as a child. As one of my friends says, "Still checking my email, mailbox, and waiting for the carrier-pigeon!"

Good luck to everyone out there who applied for the Fall 2015 nursing program. May the odds be ever in your favor :nurse::x3:

I'm not sure what the requirements are for your school, but that is a fantastic TEAS score! And that is a pretty high average. I think my school's average is right around the national average which I think was like 60.4% or something.

Thanks!

Yea, I'm going to one of those "dreaded California schools/programs," so the averages are pretty high because it's so competitive here. We have roughly 400-500 people apply each year (my school only accepts new apps in the Fall) and only 50 are admitted.

I can tell the difference. :)

Again, "excited" is fine. Just try not to look like you're totally decompensating if you want to show people how mature you are. :)

I totally understand what you're saying. The original post just came off a little abrasive. Which can always be misinterpreted based on the fact that it's a written text, not a verbal conversation.

I said in a previous post on here that I hold no hard feelings (and I did say on a different thread that you were one of my favorite AN members!) and my excitement still remains strong.

I know I'm late to the thread but I can't express how nervous and excited I am as well! Just applied to my school's ADN program and I should find out in late June or early July. Congrats to you lovely nurses-to-be who have made it into your respective programs!

Our application deadline was Feb 1st. I got my acceptance letter on march 31st :-) it was a long wait! I start in August 24th! We have a lot if stuff to get done like immunizations, background checks, and finishing up prereqs. Good luck! My name is miranda too haha.

Wow... I wish I got my decision letter in March! I have to wait for another 2 weeks before my school mails out the letter.... I'll have very little time to get all the medical and background checks done, plus I have to get the CPR certification before school starts.... I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

I feel for you. My school has a short period of time to accept application, which is in December to the end of January. My prerequisites will be completed in Fall 2015. Hopefully, my school can process transcript in less than two weeks.

I'm anxiously excited to be in a summer class for my chemistry. 😊

I finally got all of my stuff in for both programs (all entrance tests and paperwork). The due date is June 30th for both programs but I turned the first part of the applications in in April. I still have to wait until July and August to find out. I have no classes left that I can take after this quarter as I've taken all of the pre reqs for both the program and to transfer for BSN. So I guess this summer I will have some fun to keep my mind busy!

You guys were just a month ahead of us :)

We have all that to do, too!! I am going in on Wednesday for a physical and titer, I signed up for my background check and drug screen, getting recertified in CPR, and then need to attend orientation in July.

Also...team Miranda, all the way ;)
