Hi Guys,
I just graduated from a LPN program and am eager to get into a RN program. I am looking for any information regarding QuincyCollege/Massasoit. I am looking for info for either their part-time programs or full-time programs. I have gotten their basic info but nothing about what hours they are, or clinical sites, things like that. I have a young son whom I would have to make child care arrangements for. If any of you have attended these programs I would appreciate any info you would have to offer.
Thanks SO Much!!!:loveya:
Hi
I'm not referring to the Jan 2011 program. That one is the next one they have after this one that starts in Sept 2009. The evening program is a part time program that runs for 3 semesters. So this one ends in Dec 2010 and a new one will start up in January 2011.
Also, Massasoit does not use the NET exam any longer, they use a test called the NEAT exam which is basically a reading exam with no math at all. I believe you have to score 70 or higher to be considered for the program. You can go to Massasoit's web site to get information about the exam.
I hope this helps, and good luck to you.

hi lucy
thank you for your reply.
i think you must be well ahead of me, i still have micro anf algebra to complete which is why i am planning on the 2011 eve program.
as far as the neat exam, i understand there are some practice tests on mcc website. did you pass the neat with a 75?
any further info on the neat such as books to buy at barnes and noble or whatever would be appreciated!
did you call the director?

Hi
I have all prereqs and coreqs completed so all I will have to do is the Nursing portion of the program. I passed the exam with 85. There are no books available that I know of out there. There are only 20 questions on the exam but you want to answer them as fast and accurate as you can. Although you have a hour to take the test, Somehow the amount of time you take is factored in. I took it in 20 minutes but let me warn you this is a computer generated test and there are 50 people in the room taking it along side you. As people begin to finish their tests it gets very noisy with printers printing out results, and talking, ect. I found this to be very distracting because you really need to be focused on the reading. If I were you I would buy a cheap pair of ear plugs so you won't lose you concentration, and you can focus. I wish I had. I'm sure I would have done better. The reading is not easy, light reading. I hope this helps.

hi there
i don't think you'll be a pain in the *** i have talked with her at least twice. she will know your name and your interest.
are you willing to wait until the evening program starts or will you aply to bhsn?{in case}
oh, btw i took that test in 20 minutes as well, and wish i had taken the full hour.my grade reflected the haste and incomplete thought process
that i unfortunately did not have.
funny thing is when i took a+p 1+2 i took them one at a time so all my energy went into studying and i got a b and an a.
so.. this summer i checked to see if intro to algebra was available to take and all the classes are full.
ugh!!
maybe will have to go to qc for this.
i would check with the director to see if you are waitlisted at least.
good luck and thank you for the info.
