Hi Lucy I thought they got rid of the baylor shifts at most facilities whereas we have been in a recession. You will get plenty of exposure, and will most likely fall in love with something that will make you passionate about a specialty. I worked in hospitals for 10 years, LTC for 15 years, now I dabble in both LTC and handicapped children but I am sure I will also find something I have not been exposed to before when all is done. Rehap is very difficult but good experience. I worked in hospitals as a new grad and got tons of experience there. Things changed with LPN's from the early 90's until the present. You will have tons of options when you complete MCC. I know someday I would like to work in day surgery Mon-Friday, skip these weekends! ME

Hi Lucy I work with handicapped kids, I find an Lpn's options are nursing home, homehealth or MD office. Do you work in a nursing home? You are very lucky to have been chozen from 42 candidates. Hope I get lucky in 0/11. ME

I heard the same thing. Which is why I am waiting till Jan. 0/11{and I have to pass the NEAT with good grade.} The full time day program during the day is what you are referring to right? I live 45 minutes away, using 123 the whole way to MCC. How did you meet the girls that have graduated from the evening program? ME

hi there i don't think you'll be a pain in the *** i have talked with her at least twice. she will know your name and your interest. are you willing to wait until the evening program starts or will you aply to bhsn?{in case} oh, btw i took that test in 20 minutes as well, and wish i had taken the full hour.my grade reflected the haste and incomplete thought process that i unfortunately did not have. funny thing is when i took a+p 1+2 i took them one at a time so all my energy went into studying and i got a b and an a. so.. this summer i checked to see if intro to algebra was available to take and all the classes are full. ugh!! maybe will have to go to qc for this. i would check with the director to see if you are waitlisted at least. good luck and thank you for the info. me

hi lucy thank you for your reply. i think you must be well ahead of me, i still have micro anf algebra to complete which is why i am planning on the 2011 eve program. as far as the neat exam, i understand there are some practice tests on mcc website. did you pass the neat with a 75? any further info on the neat such as books to buy at barnes and noble or whatever would be appreciated! did you call the director? me

hi! I am also waiting to be accepted to MCC lpn to rn program, I have everything completed except microbiology which I hope to take this fall. But...although this is an extremely good program, I will apply other places as well. Must strive over the summer to do well on the NET in the fall..due to the fact they are looking for a 75 or better. Anyone else in my situation?

yes! They must take the LPN exam.But..at least they will have an income
