265 Questions x 2!! Need some encouragement

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone. I 1st took my RN Nclex in Ohio in December 2016. I got 265 questions and failed... I had to wait a little longer though because the scanner couldn't read my palm at the testing center so my results were on hold. Fast forward to Today March 29th, I re took the exam and again got 265 questions. I told myself I wasn't going to do the PVT, but I did and once again my results are on hold because the scanner couldn't read my palm again. I am like sick to my stomach. I hear that if you get 265 questions, you have essentially made the test crazy because it doesn't know with certainty that you are above or below the passing line. When I got my CPR it said I was near passing in 6 categories, above in 1 and below in 1. I am going crazy over here. Has anyone else gotten 265 2x and passed?

I just recently tested for the second time on the 3rd. My first attempt was 265 questions and this last attempt was 265 questions again. I feel your pain; I had walked out feeling utterly defeated. I got my quick results back today, though, and found out I passed! It can be done, dadrm2001. Sending positive vibes your way.

Smiled when I read this, the test isn't being made crazy because it's a computer program and doesn't GET crazy, but it sure seems to be making YOU crazy! Relax. People pass and people fail with every number possible. All that having the maximum number means is that right up until the end you weren't consistently above or consistently below the passing standard, not to a 95% certainty so it could shut off already.

You paid for another test, if you're lucky you will have thrown away $200 because you passed. If not, you just gave Pearson Vue undeserved cash.

I wish sometimes that people who have that extra $200 to throw out could throw it MY way LOL!!
