75 questions today, no idea how I did

Published

Well, it's done. I sat for the Nclex this morning, computer shut off at 75 questions and I do not feel great about it. I really don't know how to feel about it. I don't know what else I could have done to prepare. Now the wait is on. Say a prayer for me please.:uhoh3:

Thanks it does make me feel a bit better...will let you know Thursday!

Trust me, I'll be here! I don't test until a week from tomorrow.....yikes.

Thanks guys for all the support and good thoughts. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that feels this way after the exam. It is more comforting. I'll keep you posted, and those of you waiting as well be sure to let me know your results.

Hey everyone - I have been lurking around this site for weeks while preparing for the NCLEX. I took the exam today and the computer shut off at 75. I am a nervous wreck! I got lots of prioritizing, infection control, contact precautions, and teaching. I had a handful of meds, no calculations and 3 select all apply. I can't wait until Thursday! Good luck everyone!

Just wanted to let you all know I passed!!!! It is the greatest feeling and can't wait to start working! Good luck to every one who still has to take the nclex and who are waiting, I know it isn't fun....have a great summer all!

Hey you guys. I took my test a year ago. I had 75 questions and IBS for 48 hours. I have been a nurse for alittle over a year. I am sure you did fine. The first year of nursing is just a stressful as school and that test. Be careful and keep an open mind. Look things up and do not be afraid to say I DONT UNDERSTAND.. Welcome NURSES to the greatsest profession even with all of its problems. :monkeydance:

I took the exam yesterday and it shuts off at 75, i am so afraid i'm gonna fail again, last time i took it, it shuts off at 91 and failed, but difference from last time is that i'm more prepared yesterday, so i'm just convincing myself that i did better yesterday than the last time i failed...but i still don't know, i'm from CA so i have to wait longer. Is it true that if I don't see my name posted in CA BON website in 3 days that i failed??? please clarify this for me. thanks anyone??

The sad truth is you wont know until you know. I live in MD and I went on the MD nursing state board site and typed my name in up it came with a liscence number after it. I am sure you did fine. Nothing any one is going to say to is going to calm your nerves. It is just one of those hateful moments in life. Just know you did your best. Plenty of people have taken that test more than once or twice. You will do it. I know :bowingpur :icon_hug: :balloons:

I would say that after 3 days and your name does not show up, call the BRN and ask if there was anything missing from your file. Ive had people whos names didnt show up for a week or two.

I just found this forum online, and thought i would give it a try. I have failed to pass the nclex twice. a lot of the comments on this forum talk about how hard the test is, but then they find out they passed. well, this is definately not the case for me. i was wondering if you have any uselful information for me since you passed your third time. did you study a different way, just do questions after questions, study specific areas, use different books? i need help!! thanks!

I am wondering the same thing. I feel like without a doubt that I failed with 75 questions. I did great in school, did a ton of questions, took the Hurst review, relistened to the hurst review online, and feel horrible. How many people fail at 75?

Hi! I also took it today and shut off at 75! I don't feel confident at all. I felt that the questions did become really difficult. I was always left with two decent answers. I got five select all that apply. Most of my test was prioritizing and who do you discharge first, are these considered more difficult questions? I know you can pass or fail with 75 questions, but does anyone know if more pass or fail on 75? If anyone knows please answer, I am a nervous wreck?

landnurse,

I would not worry too much. If you did well in school and did all that preparation, you probably did fine. I know it is agonizing waiting, but don't depair you probably did fine. I also came out of the test feeling horrible, but that is normal, everyone feels that way. Just think, 84% pass on their first time and that includes people who did not do well in school or study substantially for the nclex. So you should not worry! I have confidence in you!

Let me know how you did,
