What kind of policies your hospital has on a shift differentials..I will be working evening times and my facility starts their diff at 6 pm.

Specializes in CDI Supervisor; Formerly NICU.

In the stinky old RGV.

Specializes in Cardiac, ER.

Where I work evening diff starts at 1500, noc diff at 2300,.you get paid the diff that the majority of your hours are in,..ie I work 1830-0700 and I get the noc diff.

7-3--$0

3-11p--$4.50

11p-7a-$4.00

Weekends--$8

Holiday-$8

Crisis-1.5x base

If you are a regular full time staff. Your only times you get weekend pay is from 11pm Friday until 11pm Sunday.

If you are a weekender, you get weekend diff from 7pm Friday until 7am Monday.

Holiday pay is only paid for hours worked on the actual holiday from 0000-0000.

6pm to midnight = $5

Midnight to 6am = $6.50

Weekends = $3.50

A few hospitals in my area have gotten rid of shift diffs all together.

wow!! u guys are all lucky!! 2nd and 3rd shifts each get $1. i work 1900-0730, so I only get to collect $12 dollars per night total. weekends we get a whole whopping $1 more on top of our already generous differential. :rolleyes:
