Questions about Seton Versant RN Residency in Austin

Hi everyone! Thanks for sharing your updates so far. I applied for the NICU and some pediatric positions and my statuses have been under review since the 23rd. I'm hoping to hear back soon, but know it might take a few weeks. I'll post if I hear anything :nurse:

@Brittaney, I'm in the same boat as you! I applied in the NICU and other pedi positions as well. Hopefully we'll hear something within the next two weeks.

Mine all say under review as well. My friend who had a phone interview with Hays had his status change to "interview".

I doubt they will let you know you are not selected for an interview unless you are in contact with the managers personally. The woman at Hays who interviewed my friend said they had hundreds of applicants!

Is anyone interested in oncology and been in touch with the SMCA oncology manager? She is the only manager who I never heard back from when emailing after the open house and of course that's my number 1 choice.

Also, I have heard that ER, especially Brack, is extremely selective and unless you have previous experience in the ER or trauma, your chances are very small

Hi everyone! Been a longtime lurker, but I recently applied to the Seton Healthcare System as well~ I attended the Open House and everything in February, and was contacted yesterday via email to call about interviewing for the ICU at SMCA! I was told last week by the recruiter that SMCA would be contacting the people for ICU interviews there this week, and then interviewing the second week of April. There are 4 spots in the RN Residency for ICU at SMCA.

I feel the reason I got the interview was the Open House. When everyone was in line for the SMCA recruiter, the ICU managers table was empty, so they are who I talked to. Managers will interview you, not the hiring coordinators.

Hey guys, well I just had a surprise phone interview with Hays, so they are still contacting people. They said they are still weeding through applicants and will call to schedule formal interviews sometime in the next week. I don't think my phone call was for ICU, but more of an IMC-hybrid type of unit. I applied to Hays, but did not talk to their recruiters or give them my resume at the Open House, so don't feel discouraged if you did not attend!

I also contacted my nurse recruiter and scheduled my time for my ICU interview at SMCA. They will interview 12-15 people for 4 spots.

I got a missed call from Hays critical care because I was in class. So I called them back and left a message. Then during the start if my test I see an incoming call from Hays and rush out of class to answer it. I also got a surprised phone interview in which I believe they are doing to decrease the app pile. They said they'd call me back next week to schedule a peer interview....I'm nervous!

I just applied as well, to NICU and pedi positions and a L&D. All mine say "under review" i hope this is a quick process! My anxiety is already getting pretty high! I live in Rhode Island so it was almost impossible for me to get down there for the open house. How do I find out hiring managers emails?

Congrats on the call backs guys! so I went to look at my applicant page to see if there were any updates and I noticed two of the jobs I applied for aren't even showing up now.. anyone know what that could mean?

I am a dope... they stopped showing up because it was only showing applications from the last week.. Neevverrmind. :)
