I found a few places northwest of Brack; all within a 20 minute commute . I'm probably going to look at them on Monday. I hope they aren't crap.... They look nice online, but you know how that can go!!

LOL that's why I stuck to the north side area! Good luck with apartment hunting :)

I know I have been quiet on this thread, life has been so busy! But I was accepted into the ICU at Brack! So we are probably going to be in orientation together. I saw you guys were writing about apartment looking... I live in a townhouse off of W. Slaughter lane and love the location. Its right outside the city, so its not as expensive. Our townhouse is 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath and we pay like $1000/month, so to me it was a no brainer! And its a 20 min drive to the hospital which is great too :) There are a TON of apartment complexes in our area, so you should check it out. Congrats to everyone who landed a job! Live is getting exciting...as long as I pass NCLEX :/ the nerves are setting in!

Yay! Congrats!! Yup now the challenge of nclex is the topic now until now and than!!

Congrats!! Brack is gonna be awesome!

I wanted to PM you, but you don't have enough posts....

What is the name of your townhome complex? I am going to Austin tomorrow to look at condos/townhomes and yours sound like just the size & price I am looking for. I lived off 35 between Slaughter & Wm D Canon in 2008 and really liked the location. It was up and coming back then.

Its called Iron Rock Ranch. You can also go on their website and take a video tour too :)

How is the apartment hunting going? Did you find a place?

Yeah! Found a really cute 2 bed 2.5 bath town-home that is about 15 min NW of Brack. Move in date is February 1st. February is going to be an exciting month!

Have you done your pre-employment screening and all that? I did mine the day after Christmas.

I do mine on Tuesday. I just finished moving down here on the 3rd. Have you taken NCLEX yet?
