I have just been accepted into the Seton RN residency and can answer any questions you may have. I will also be creating a post throughout my experience in the residency. Ask away!

You have to be enrolled in an NCLEX review course or have something similar to it. They accepted one of my classes this semester for the NCLEX review course as thats all we work on in the class. If you have a similar class you just need to have the professor write something out on the school letterhead.

I did the same thing.

Yes Seton only offers up to $2000 per year for student reimbursement but thats only if you work full time (which is pretty difficulty to do even if you're going to school part-time). And I saw a question about pay raises. The only way to get a pay raise is through the yearly inflation raise and climbing clinical ladder. And its not that much of a raise.

For the nclex review course, does it matter if it was an online or classroom course?

No it doesn't matte whether it is online or classroom, I personally did online just cause you can go at your own pace and review everything when you want to go back to do so.

We might be together for the first few days of orientation! I was told I should get my offer letter next week. I was also told that if you have previous healthcare experience, even non-RN, that it may increase your pay. Starting pay with no experience is $22.75, then $2.25 for weekends, $2.50 for evenings, and $4 for overnight.

The pay is cumulative, so if you work a weekend overnight, it is $29/hour.

Ohh that's super good to know that previous experience will be considered in factor in pay that just made my day a bit better! But that would be awesome for orientation the first couple days better than nothing! :)

I have no previous healthcare experience, so I will be racking up the weekend overnights as soon as we can work on the floor! :lol2:

Lol experience or not I'm right beside you my student loans doesn't care they just want to be paid :( sad but true lol how has apartment hunting going! I got something up north cause downtown is too expensive and I tend to like the suburban area more.
