Questions about Seton Versant RN Residency in Austin

I have just been accepted into the Seton RN residency and can answer any questions you may have. I will also be creating a post throughout my experience in the residency. Ask away!

Has anyone receive their ATT yet? It is near impossible to get through to the BON when I call them...I am almost close to driving up to the office. This coming week will be marked as the third week since our official grades has been posted. My nerves are killing me!

Nobody from ACC has gotten theirs yet. I was told by a classmate who called the board and they said they will be processing ATT's today and tomorrow.

Oh thank you for passing that info along!! Man that means testing centers will be swamped! Seton wants licensure by the 25th if possible! :/

Does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel or motel close by the hospital? My friend and I are planning to road trip out from Florida for the open house. We figured we should book a hotel soon since the SXSW festival is happening around that time too!

My favorite is the Embassy Suites on South Congress near Town Lake (aka Lady Bird Lake). The rate includes happy hour and cooked to order breakfast!

I also like the Hyatt Regency b/c it is right on Town Lake.

You can find pretty much any hotel or motel in any price range within 5-10 miles of downtown.

I know me either! but some of my classmate has though...but it would be my application to be messed up! called the BON and they said my school code is wrong...which I find insane considering I chose my school from a drop down list but yet the code assigned to it is wrong!!! So I have to email them and wait for them to process it which they have yet still to do and wait for my school to approve and email back the BON. A LONG UGLY PROCESS!!! And Seton wants testing to be done by the 25th!!! That is cutting it toooo close for my books!!! So I would called the BON and ask what is the hold up!

I know exactly what you mean!! It's even harder when you fought so hard to get a job and now that the hard part of getting a job is over and one is waiting..this happens equals 10x's more frustrating!

Is anyone unable to meet 100% on the seton's residency application online? - I'm an RN not a GN.

Yes. I was an RN when I applied, so I was only able to complete about 85-90% of the application. I emailed HR, informed them of the situation, and they pushed my app through. Good luck!

Finally received my ATT yesterday around 4pm. Earliest date in the Austin area was 1/29/13. Now the nerves begin!
