Questions about Seton Versant RN Residency in Austin

U.S.A. Texas

I have just been accepted into the Seton RN residency and can answer any questions you may have. I will also be creating a post throughout my experience in the residency. Ask away!

... o O (So many visitors to this thread tonight, but hardly a soul is posting.)

I'm posting! ;) Hopefully the information that we share with each other has helped us.

Purdue-Yes, I did two applications...good luck selecting your last 2 slots!

Yeah, I did the same. The directions sort of said to apply to the requisition first...so I did that. But I was definitely confused a little. If they ask for feedback in regard to the application process, I will definitely mention some of the steps took me longer to get through than I am sure they intended.

Hi everyone! I applied, too. I didn't apply until late last week, so I am not expecting to hear from HR anytime soon. I am looking forward to the open house!

Hey Shiner50! Good luck to you!

OMG yall recieved y'all HR directions :( :( I havent recieved anything and it sucks cause I applied midnight it opened up!!! but was there any spots for OR by chance!!

I saw one that said: "Network OR (Could be at any Seton site depending on hiring needs)."

I suggest following up...make sure you didn't get lost in the shuffle or something. Oh, and "DCMC Surgical Unit."

I have already tried to call HR and was waiting for like 35 minutes and gave up cause of class starting. I am getting very anxious :( I hope I hear things soon. I already got an emailed saying my application is complete. But did anyone get an email saying that their application has been reviewed or some sort? I just want OR or ER preferably. Yall keep me updated Im just happy that you guys received your stuff so at least we know the ball is rolling! GOod Luck :) and thanks okranurse and botoxbaby for keeping me updated

This is a dumb question: but for those who also saw it, what is the difference between "IMC" and "Intermediate Med"?

I am rooting for you, too, ktlam. After you get the email that said application complete, you should have gotten one that stated it was reviewed by the Versant manager (can't remember title exactly) and that it was approved and moving on to HR, and the next step was to receive the email from HR...

Also, have you tried emailing them? I have received replies via email within usually 2 days. I never got through with the phone calls to Versant. However, I did leave a message and they always left one in return (I was usually in class).

Once you hit the point where you can contact HR, you can get through and talk to them. Somehow those lines aren't as busy.

well poop I have yet to receive that email that it has been reviewed by the versant manager :( so I now know I won't be hearing from HR anytime soon. Arrrrgh. But thanks! Well hope that does not hinder me in anyway of getting an interview after open house ...do you think? :/
