it's official, i passed and can say it is thanks to allnurses.com. the random facts thread was the biggest part of my studies and really helpful for me. thanks to everyone for being so supportive. :[anb]:

tips: 1.) have a good knowledge base. they can ask anything and you need to be ready for it. no specifics, they want to know how you'll use what you know.
2.) know you meds!!!!!
3.) no matter how tempted you are, do not study the day before! if you must, limit it to " passive reading ".
4.) great advise i got from jackicu, it is only a test.
5.) passively read the random facts thread and be sure to contribute. the act of making contributions was really helpful in getting the material to stay in my head. :typing
and last, if you have questions regarding something specific, be sure to post it here. lots of great advise and support!:heartbeat

Jadu1106, your advise about the SATA questions was great. You said in a post a while back to look at each answer as a true or false and it worked. I did not want to write earlier and scare anyone with the amount of SATA I got. Only had maybe 15 multiple choice. But it's all ok now. I just kept thinking about that post. Oh, and the advise from JackICU, too. He said that it's only a test. As I drove I kept repeating to myself out loud " this is only a test." I must have looked like I'd lost my mind to the other drivers.:chuckle But that's ok.:wink2: I'll still be lurking around.

I used Lippincott NCLEX reveiw and bought the Drexel DVDs. I spent maybe 4-5 hours a day unless I had to work. 95% of what I did was look through old class notes, double check for accuracy and then posted random facts from those notes on the Random Facts Thread. Only did 3 practice exams with NCLEX 3500 maybe 400 all together? Studied only for 4 months at the most, but did the real studying for about the 2 weeks before. Hope that helps. Good luck.
