I see lots of posts about passing or failing with 75 questions, just curious what the stats are. I would like to think that nursing school prepares us enough that those who get 75 are mostly passing?

I did Kaplan. A lot of the areas that I have seen on the NCLEX were never covered in Kaplan course. And I did ALL qbank questions and practice tests. 75 questions sound very suspicious to me and I don't want to do it again!!!

I got 75 questions and passed. Relax..you should be more concerned if you get more questions..obviously they felt u were fit after those 75. Everyones test is different according to how you answer right or wrong. You're given more questions for a better chance to pass if your doing poorly at that time..so they DO give you the benefit of the doubt. So congratulations in advance..I know you passed so go ahead and get the celebration started!!

The Kaplan doesn't so much review a bunch of the nursing part of the NCLEX like other review programs. They focus mainly on HOW to effectively take these types of tests and how to narrow down your answers and how to determine "best" answer as opposed to the answer it "should" be.

At least, that's how it was when I did the 4 day review. Worked out, because that's EXACTLY the type of review I needed. Everyone who opted to do the Kaplan passed from my class. The one's who did another company's 5 day review (included in the tuition for the nursing program) did not fare as well. Several failed the first time.

I'm feeling the anxiety now...

I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions and the computer shut off at 50 minutes. I was so happy. Most people who get 75 questions pass.

i appreciate the advice about keep moving forward, that's what im doing right now and im still praying for a good result. I offer all of it to God and my Family.

There is a God. I did pass. I have never prayed harder for anything my life! I can't believe I passed, honestly. I was so so so doubtful. To those taking the NCLEX and are worried, keep moving forward, even when you think all hope has been lost. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, though I get by. A positive attitude will get you through this exam, not knowledge or facts. Don't let the number of questions you get concern you. Just keep showing that test who's boss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took my NCLEX Dec 9th and the computer shut off at 76 questions. Dec 11 did the quick results and i PASSED!!!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!! Giving HIM the glory!!!!!!!!:yeah:

Also, i was told that 75 questions can be either pass OR fail.

Pass in 75 question. Only took me about 2 hour (with me taking my sweet time.) The test was much easier than anything I had in school.

I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions.

Hi...I took my nclEx rn 2 days ago...december 17 2010. It shut off 75 questions. I am so stress out whether I pass or fail. I cant determine if it was hard or easy. I got so many prioritization and check the following and 2 problem solving. Are these considered hard questions? And can I use the quick result? I'm taking the California nclex in Illinois. Am I able to use it?

I took NCLEX on December 18, 2010. I had around 15 SATA, a ton of MED questions, 1 calculation, 1 listening, and many priority and delgation questions. When the computer shut off at 75, I was scared to death. I felt like I had guessed on the last 20 questions! I waited to try out the PearsonVue "Trick" until the day my quick results came out. After I did the "trick" and got the "good" pop up...I was ready to check my real results! I PASSED!!! Thank you Lord!!!

To help me prepare...I took the Kaplan class. I also did about 100 questions the day before the test and reviewed about an hour of labs, meds, etc...

On Kaplan Q-bank my total score was around 57%...I spent a lot of time just working on the areas that Kaplan said I was scoring lowest with.

I'm horrible at taking standardized test...and I PASSED! So all of you who are getting ready to take the exam, or who have taken it, but have not recieved your results...just breathe...you CAN do this; and YOU will be an RN someday!
