I see lots of posts about passing or failing with 75 questions, just curious what the stats are. I would like to think that nursing school prepares us enough that those who get 75 are mostly passing?

I tried the pvt and was lead to credit card option. Does that mean I fail?heeeeelp!!!

I had ALL 265 questions!! I took a break around question 150 and 220 and cried both times in the bathroom. My eyes were bloodshot and head pounding but thank God I passed

75 questions, and so much easier than any test I took senior year of nursing school. Or maybe it just seemed that way because there were no minute details about specific obscure disease processes. I was most glad that there were no psych questions (thank goodness!).

what are the odds of passing when i stopped at 75? i had a lot of select all that apply questions, 2 of each delegation and audio, meds, an exhibit and i had 'what to do first' questions, does that count as priority questions?? because i only had like 4 'who to see first'

i didnt have the put in order thing, hot spot and computation.

so how do i know if i failed at 75??

i went up to the credit card page on the pearsonvue trick so is that already a reliable result after 4days??

Found out today that I passed with 75 questions! Like almost everyone, I was convinced I had failed when I finished. It was very difficult. A ton of SATA, priority, & infection control questions. Zero med math. So glad it's over! Good luck to everyone waiting for their results!!

sounds exactly like the test i took today, shut down at 75 with: zero med math, possibly 20 or more SATA's, priority, infection control, and even crutches/walkers...felt like i got the life sucked out of me...i am still anxious, can't sleep, worried I didn't pass. certain questions i think about i got wrong, others i think about i got right...i feel like i got at least half of them right, but i didn't really feel like i got enough to feel confident that i passed, if that makes any sense...

Taking the NCLEX via computer has a minimum number of questions. If you are doing very well, it does not need to go beyond that number, same goes for doing very poorly. If you are in between the computer will automaticall give you more questions to be able to give an accurate evaluation.

I just went through the tortuous time period between taking the nclex and finding out my results  I obsessed over finding a common ground with the previous postings ...Whether the pearson vue trick works or not (getting the "good pop up"), what the chances are of having 75 questions and passing etc. Well I just found out that I passed (yay!)

So I guess you could say, I'm another witness - the pvt worked for me! I had 75 questions and thought almost all of my SATA and prioritizing questions were out of left field. The test really leaves you in a quandary. I wish everyone well on future nclex tests. It feels great to know all that hard work does pay off...and will continue to through out your career :nurse:

I just took the NCLEX today, it shut off after 75 questions. I got in the top 1% on the HESI, and 70% on the practice exams....sooooo I am taking this as a good sign. I also tried the "pop up" trick, and I was not able to put in my credit card info. I can't wait to get my credentials behind my name....still a little nervous, no champagne for me yet!!!!!!

I channeled Florence Nightingale to help me ;0)

Stressing big time...took Nclex today and got the minimum of 75 questions..felt like I guessed on most. Not a dumb girl and have been a LPN for 15 years. Currently work in a step down icu/ trauma/ vent unit so have lots of experience. Still I felt like I didn't know diddly!! I had at least 20-30 select all that apply!! Never heard anyone having that many!! Every 3 questions was select all! Which, by the way, I absolutely hate!! No math, no fill in blanks, no diagrams, no put in the right order. A lot if prioritizing questions, several infection control, couple med side effects, couple cultural. 48 hours cannot come soon enough!! Don't feel that I did very well at all!!
