Nursing Students NCLEX

265! I'm going to lose my mind any minute! anyone get that same amount?

:uhoh21:

I took my test yesterday and totally started freaking out at 200 so my brain shut down and I had to do all 265. Is it true that last question will make or break you:redbeathe. I swear judging by that test I learned nothing in the 2 years I worked my but off in nursing school. Can any body make me feel better.

Getting the last question right or wrong does not determine anything.

The number of questions that you receive also does not tell you anything.

You can not second guess your results, best suggestion is to just wait until you receive them.

Best of luck to you.

hi everyone. I posted on the 9th or 10th of July saying that I took the NCLEX and did not pass. Well, I am back again to say that my test is currently scheduled for the 26th of August (which I may or may not push back a week or so). I am excited, as I have had a lot of time to study and pray. For me, failing the test last month really threw me into some soul searching. I am confident this time around I will receive positive results. Please keep me in your prayers, as my battles with the NCLEX are more mental than they are having to do with preparation with study. I'll keep you all posted if you care to know how I fared! Blessings

Hey Faithandsmiles, we will keep you in our prayers. I am also set up for the 14 of this month. PLeaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee pray for me too, it's my 3rd time and if I don't pass this time, my confidence will go down the drain. PLEASE GUYS SAY A LITTLE PRAYER FOR ME TOO, WHO KNOWS IT JUST MIGHT BE YOUR PRAYER THAT GETS HEARD BY GOD. I WANT TO KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO PASS TOO.

THANKS

I think 265 just feels bad... I tested yesterday and felt like I was holding my own up through 150. From there on out I really felt that it was an uphill battle. I had so many Pharm questions. I left feeling pretty bummed out. I'm keeping my hopes up though.

Good luck to you. When I was taking the HESI's in school we had to maintain an academic standard which I fell below 2 out of 15 times and the second time it made me really search for motivation to be prepared. I hope that you do well. I felt awful with just my HESI's I know that it must be magnified with the NCLEX.

I know how that feels! Certain tests have always just done something to my mind. I took my SAT's in HS and got a very LOW score. Well, I prepared to take my ACTs thinking I may fare better, and wouldn't you know it? I did a LOT better...Different test, but still a standardized content exam (I went to university). *sigh* Happened to me in one particular class I took in college too. I had gotten A's on all my homework and exams until the final, and I totally choked...I filled in bubbless and wrote in answers just as quickly as I could to get the heck out of the room...Upon realizing my mistake, I called my professor who proceeded to tell me that she graded my final, and I failed it! Thankfully, I had my entire semester's worth of hard work to back me up and keep my A in that class.

The NCLEX has no such back up plan! So you pass nursing school, maybe even with flying colors (I didn't do so badly myself...Many nights were stressful, but all in all I enjoyed my experiences). But the NCLEX is just a test. A test that doesn't care about your reputation or grades. It is a standardized test that just needs to know you're capable. When I took it the first time, I really felt bummed. Dosage calc and pharm were my best subjects in school (I know, go figure), but I came upon dosage calc questions on the NCLEX and my mind froze. Literally. I know it froze because I just typed in numbers, but then when I started studying again for the NCLEX after I found out that I didn't pass I came upon some dosage calc - SAME questions mind you (different meds and dosages, but same questions) and wouldn't you know I answered them with no trouble at all. No study, no nothing...I just calculated - no hesitation.

It's a mind thing for a lot of people I think. I thought I was prepared the first time I went in, but I really wasn't MENTALLY prepared.

I hope you all have done/are going to do well. kpjr, it will feel amazing to pass, and I am praying for you (and will rejoice with you in your success). You didn't come out of nursing school to fall on your face. I firmly believe that. Have peace, and have faith. The Bible says that the Lord keeps in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed upon Him. I am keeping the faith myself! Besides, you have to ask yourself what defines you - nursing school? exams? being a nurse? Or somebody larger than all that? Good things are headed your way kpjr! Don't sweat it, you'll be brilliant.

what state do you live in that you have to wait 3-4 weeks for results? :)

Mainly if they have to wait for 3-4 weeks then it is a state that requires a SSN and will not post name online but via letter. This is usually California

Hey guys, I have a question. I am currently an LVN and took my NCLEX-RN 3 days ago. As of now I don't know my results, but my LVN lic is expiring and I have to renew it. I don't work so how do I get 30 CE units. I live in california, please help.

Hi

I would like to say thank you to all of you for posting your comments. It has been a long and at times stressful journey since taking my nclex on the 6th of aug in ca. I have found much comfort in reading your posts! I had all 265 questions--was devastated and went through the emotional rollercoaster. As of today, I am still waiting for my letter in the mail. I have checked the BON website everyday and unfortunately havent seen my name. I read a post earlier from Suzanne and finally decided to give them a call to see if my file was complete. The lady at the BON said that in fact it was and that it can take up to 30 days to receive my results in the mail. I know it's not a matter of an ssn because i have one so I had to assume the worst. I commented to the lady at the BON that I must have failed because my name isnt on the website and the lady said this wasn't necessarily true. I would like to believe and hang on to that last bit of hope but I've got to start preparing to take it again. Does anyone know when the 45 days to retest begins? Is it from the date of your last nclex? The date the failure letter is sent out or mailed?
